Paddle through the waters and discover the unique vegetation and marine environment shaped by the volcanic terrain. Witness the diversity of nature that Sakurajima harbors. During breaks on the activity, land on areas that present a different vista from typical coastlines. Depending on the route, you might even get to experience hot spring digging, allowing you to further appreciate the distinct characteristics of Sakurajima compared to other regions. Truly unique experience in Kagoshima

5.00If you are looking for an out of the ordinary way to experience Kagoshima and its nearby volcano Sakurajima, this is it! You are able to enjoy the ferry ride and get a real authentic taste of the area. The guide we had, Ura, was fantastic, and we were so lucky with a beautiful warm, sunny day to enjoy this adventure. The guide conveniently reached out via email to share the meeting time and place, which was easy to reach by foot from the ferry terminal. We were able to rent water shoes and really didn't get too wet, although we brought extra clothes and could change before returning in the ferry. The guide had a dry bag for valuables, and also provided waterproof cases.for those who wanted to bring phones for photo taking. Our guide also took photos from his camera and shared them after the excursion. Note: We, the participants, did have to carry the kayaks from the trailer down (and then back up) to the water. One in our group was not sure-footed to handle this, but Ura and the others did.
