Learning about Cambodia’s tragic past at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the former site of the Security Prison 21 (S-21) and Killing Filed were established by the Khmer Rouge regime from your tour guide as the half day tour. Once an orchard and a Chinese cemetery, the Khmer Rouge, lead by Pol Pot, turned the place into what became known as the killing fields, where they executed around 20.000 victim. Over three years, they massacred and buried 2.5 million people. After remembering the dead, return to Phnom Penh to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Meaning hill of the poisonous trees, Pol Pot turned a once popular high school into a high security prison. 20,000 people were imprisoned there, many of whom were tortured for information. Then, we will turn back to your hotel.

Start your tour by heading to Killing Field from you hotel in Phnom Penh, where the vibrant bustling capital of Cambodia. Choeung Ek Genocidal Center
Choeung Ek is the site of a former orchard and mass grave of victims of the Khmer Rouge - killed between 1975 and 1979 - about 17 kilometres south of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is the best-known of the sites known as The Killing Fields, where the Khmer Rouge regime executed over one million people between 1975 and 1979.
The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields were used torturing and killing sites by the Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979.
