Really lovely tour. Great scenery, knowledgeable guide and all the vineyards were wonderful. Lovely lunch at the second vineyard made the day well rounded.

It was a great day. The group I was with were all so friendly ( it can be a bit scared being on your own) & inclusive. Gary, the tour guide, was lovely - knowledgeable, patient, funny. He explained some of the history of Wellington, its rivers & his love of fly fishing! Te Hera winery was the best experience. The owner, John Douglas, was brilliant. Explained all about how he makes the wine. Not at all about the big sell. Very entertaining & slightly bonkers. We got to taste the wine in its earlier stages & then as it will finally be bottled which was so interesting. The highlight of the tour. We had lunch at Palliser after the tasting run by Belen, previously a sommelier from Bolivia, who was warm, welcoming & obviously loves the product. Lunch was delicious and I’m sure we’d still be there if Gary hadn’t managed to get us back on the bus. C’est Cheese in Featherston was a lovely stop off on the way home. All in all, a wonderful day. I couldn’t recommend the tour & Gary more highly.

We were picked up on time by Athena and then picked up another couple of ladies. Off to 3 wineries in the Martinborough area with a very knowledgeable and passionate lady giving us local history as well as a bit about herself. We went to Poppies winery first and omg we all loved the tastings and it’s a stunning set up. Next to Moy Hall and we purchased lunch to go with the tastings. We got on well with our new friends and had a lovely hour there. Onto Palliser Wines and yet another beautiful setting and delicious wine. Onto the way back we stopped at a cheese shop. Athena was a great driver and lovely lady. All in all it was a great day and definitely recommend:)

Simon picked us up right at cruise port and took us on a lovely tour of three wineries in the Martinborough region. Poppies, Moy Hall, and Palliser. All three were wonderful!

Our family had an incredible time on this wine tasting tour! A huge thank you to Gary, our driver and guide, for making the day so special. He was incredibly informative and shared so much interesting knowledge about the area. We also really appreciated how carefully he navigated the mountain roads in the van, we felt completely safe the entire time. Highly recommend this for any family looking for a great day out

Excellent half-day Martinborough winery tour from Wellington. Simon was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and incredibly helpful throughout. Loved the tastings, the scenic drive, and the bonus cheese and chocolate stop.

I booked this tour based on previous reviews but was very dissapointed.. New Zealand is not the place for wine tours. Dont be fooled by these so called wine tasting tours.. All they did was rushed the entire tour barely giving us time to enjoy the wines.. we didn't hv time to stroll thru the vineyards.. I was surprised to know they didn't show us the wine making process or the distillery either or maybe thwy dont make them in these places.. I have been on a lot of wine tasting tours in Australia, Europe and the US and they are fantastic with the full experience of wine tasting and stroll thru vineyards explaining the different variety of grapes and wine making processes with detail explaining of the wine region and how its made. They even told us it included cheese and chocolate tasting too, dont get fooled by this cos they took us to one tiny hole in the wall shop called- C'est Cheese and guess what, all they gave was just 1 type of cheese- Edam no other cheese for tasting. no chocolates to taste either. I think Woolworths will have way better choice of cheese and chocolates. Also they had horrible stuff plant based cheese, seriously?? The guide was Simone and he was useless no info given it was like just taking us to the vineyards and throwing us there and in less than 10mins later he came back and rushed us back in the van to go to the next vineyards. We did 3 vineyards in less than 20mins can u imagine?? Worst wine tours ever. Wasted my precious time and money on this horrible tour.
