On arrival that the Air Milford base you will meet your pilot, for a full pre-flight briefing, before embarking on your 35 minuet scenic flight over the Southern Alps, to Milford Sound.
Coronet Peak Ski Area
After takeoff, view Coronet Peak, one of New Zealand's premiere ski fields.

5.00Absolutely fabulous. I was a little apprehensive about going on such a small plane but so glad I did! The scenery from the air is spectacular and to see it from the boat gives such a different perspective and then to see it from above again on the return flight was incredible. We were totally looked after from being picked up from our motel to being returned - the whole team are excellent. This has been a highlight of our 4 week holiday to NZ, highly recommend it !

5.00I couldn’t recommend both the experience and the company highly enough. The organisation in the run up to our trip and on the day was excellent. We were collected at the time stipulated, enjoyed a beautiful scenic flight with excellent narrative from our pilot Corey. The cruise was excellent and again narrated well with a generous packed lunch. We loved this experience and would do it again without hesitation. 5.00What an awesome experience that was and how lucky that we could fly! On the day of our original booking unfortunately weather was poor and the trip cannot proceed. The team was able to rebook us for next day. Fortunately we were able to fly this time and what an amazing trip that was - the beauty one can see from the air is indescribable, snow capped mountains on the left, rainforest on the right, dozens of waterfalls down below, an enormous glacier feeding lakes, endless beauty. We got to fly with the Chief Pilot, who was such a pleasure and an excellent communicator. One cannot help but like the whole Air Milford team - smiling, friendly and courteous people. We were not able to land at Milford and so our cruise and home part of the experience did not happen due to the poor weather forecast at Milford later in the day. All this was explained during the briefing and customers had to option to cancel and get full refunds if they wanted. I am absolutely 💯 pleased we were able to fly and would highly recommend to anyone in this situation to take the chance and do the flights, even if the cruise bit in not possible. You will be awestruck. Thank you, Chief Pilot and the entire team for such a memorable experience!

5.00This activity was truly the whole package!! Our flight attendant (and owner of the company) had lots of knowledge of the country which I enjoyed and always felt safe. You truly get the BEST views of NZ with this tour, 10/10!

5.00Can not recommend this trip strongly enough. From start to finish everything was so easy communication was 5* and we lived the other side of the world . Emma our pilot was amazing very knowledgeable was a pleasure to sit up front with her and listen to all the chat between towers and herself . Amazing experience

5.00We had the most amazing flight experience with AIR MILFORD and highly recommend this extremely courteous family-owned company. Antony flew us to/from Queenstown to Milford Sound cruise location. It was a smooth ride and he pointed out many stunning sights below on the short flight. Personally, I found the flight views to be as captivating as the Milford Sound Cruise itself! Highly recommend!!!

5.00Fantastic experience! The flight was spectacular! Such beautiful scenery. We drove the first time we went to Milford many years ago and I would never do it again, especially now after flying in. That drive is a killer and it’s definitely worth the money to see such amazing sights. I also loved going with an NZ owned company to support locals. We have been on a lot of trips and the lunch on this one was the best picnic box style one we’ve ever had. Simple fresh food.

5.00This was my 3rd trip to the Queenstown area and every time I come I have to fly to Milford Sound. It's worth every penny to fly rather than spend 9-10 hours in a bus driving to Milford Sound. The views of the mountains, glaciers and the sound from the air are spectacular. To be honest, I enjoyed the flight more than the scenic boat ride (although that was excellent as well) Milford Air is a great family owned company and it just feels like a more intimate experience. Our pilot, Anthony, was amazing. So friendly and informative. If you're afraid of small planes, he really puts you at ease.

5.00It’s hard to find the right words to describe what an amazing experience this was. I was petrified to take a small plane, but it was clear from the start that Antony was a very experienced pilot who knew the area like the back of his hand! We had a “tour” in both directions on the way to Milford Sound. Then a cruise on one of the smaller boats. We purchased the lunch, which was very good! The weather changed while we were there and Antony did a great job at changing the return to avoid the weather. So far, best activity we’ve done in Queenstown! Highly recommend !
