What To Expect
Pompeii Archaeological Park
Pick-up and drop off door to door service. Transfer from Sorrento to Pompei and from Pompei to Sorrento by new and confortable minibus, tickets in Pompei (euro 16,00 per person included), professional guide in English, French, Spanish or Italian inside the ruins, who will show you in a 2 hours walking tour the most fascinating places like the Forum, Thermal Baths, Lupanare burnt by volcanic ashes and lapilli during the eruption in 79 A.D. You have the opportunity to discover the everyday life of the Imperial age and imagine the panic of the people before the city was so disastrously buried. Departure from Pompei at around 13:30 and return around 14:00-14:30 (depending on traffic conditions you can return at 15:00); drop off where we picked you up in the morning. It's a trip not to be missed for any visitor coming into this region of Italy.

4.00Our tour guide was knowledgeable & also added fun tidbits to make tour interesting. We could hear her well the whole time. Site was very crowded! I wish the tour had been longer (despite time listed 10-3pm we truly were only inside Pompeii site for less than 2 hrs - then rushed into shuttles to depart).

3.00Pick up at hotel in Sorrento was on time. It was 1 hour to the Pompei site (and of course 1 hour back) so I assume that this was included in the 'half day' title of the tour. The actual tour itself was a little less than 2 hours and covered some of the main sights. The guide was OK, but she seemed a bit disinterested and had a weird presentation style which was a bit distracting. She could have given more detail in order to build pictures of life in Pompei in ancient times. Overall not a bad experience for the money but could have been better.

5.00The tour couldn’t have been better. So accommodating, from picking us up at the hotel to someone waiting for us when we got there to walk us to meet our guide. No guess work. Our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting and we learned so much and had time to take pictures and ask questions. The actual walking tour was a couple hrs and flys by. Could not have been a better experience. Highly recommend this tour.

2.00Would not book again. Our tour operator, Elisa, was very rude and rather aggressive. When people asked questions she would publicly embarrass them for asking and insist that she was already going to cover what the questions asked. Only, she didnt half the time. She never actually said the answers to those questions. She acted like people were idiots over some questions as well, like the information should be obvious. She also completely skipped over the gift shop and didnt give people a chance to check it out, as well as escorting us off the site before ending the tour. In previous tours I have been to in Europe, they end the tour while still inside the site, that way you can explore more for yourself afterwards. She didnt even give us that option, so we could have a chance to see more things. She didnt show us the entirety of the site, so I feel that my ticket was overpriced for my experience.
