Fairview Lawn Cemetery

As you leave Peggy's Cove and head back to Halifax (1:00 hr. approximate time), your next stop will be the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where the remains of 121  Titanic victims are interred. The tragic loss of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912, was felt all over the world, including in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Due to Nova Scotia's close proximity to the Titanic's last known position, recovery ships from Halifax were dispatched to conduct the grizzly task of recovering those who perished. Halifax is home to the largest concentration of Titanic graves in the world. As you walk through the cemetery, you'll learn about the lives of those who were lost, the details surrounding the memorial, and the heartbreaking story of the unknown child of the Titanic.

Very well organized tour with good communication in advance as to meeting location. Jeff was right on time and was excellent tour guide with lots of information about both Peggy Cove, the lighthouse and the Titanic Cemetary. Obviously has spent a lot of time researching the the stories of the victims of the Titantic disaster. Great tour

Very nice tour. Get to see a lot. I wish I could remember the ladies name that was our tour guide but she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and patient. Gave us a wonderful tour. Got to see Peggy’s Cove and Titanic cemetery. Also got to see a lot of Halifax because of detours and construction that she told us about every where we went. She was great.
