The Half-Day Sunset tour takes you into remote and isolated areas of the Thar desert during which you will experience visiting villages, native wildlife,sunset and enjoy the stars before returning to the city.

What To Expect
Route : Our safari takes you into remote and isolated areas of the Thar desert with its tranquility, varied wildlife and clean sand dunes. Your itinerary starts with the departure from Jaisalmer by jeep to our base camp,a drive of 50 km.( 1 hour by Jeep) Departure time - between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (depending on the month of the year). Starting from the camp, you can enjoy an afternoon camel ride to isolated sand dunes, visiting one village on the way. While riding on your camel you can experience the beautiful sunset after which you will arrive at the dunes for chai/tea/coffee and can watch your tasty dinner being freshly prepared for you over the camp fire. After dinner, campfire and star watching we return to Jaisalmer by jeep. Your tour ends at 9:30 pm. At the end of the tour we can certainly drop you to your hotel in Jaisalmer city. Menu: Dinner: Tea, coffee, mineral/filtered water, 2 mixed vegetable dishes, dhal, chapatti, rice and fruit Please let us know if you have special diet requirement.

5.00Excellent desert safari experience – highly recommended We had a fantastic experience on this desert safari, just the two of us. Everything was perfectly organized and the staff was very punctual with the pickup and schedule. They provided bottled water and offered hot tea, which was very welcome, especially in the desert atmosphere. The dinner was cooked on a wood fire and was completely vegan – simple, fresh, and genuinely delicious. The camel ride lasted about one hour and was a beautiful, peaceful experience, especially around sunset. The jeep transfer to reach the desert takes approximately 1 to 2 hours, but the journey is comfortable and gives you a real sense of the landscape. Overall, this was a well-organized, authentic, and relaxing experience. Great value for money and an unforgettable way to enjoy the Thar Desert. We would absolutely recommend it.

5.00We booked this tour based on past reviews and were in no way disappointed. In fact after nearly a month in Rajasthan staying in amazing places this was our best experience. To be out in the desert on camels walking at a pace that created those precious 'in the now' moments in complete silence was food for the soul. Salim our driver and guide was incredible. He drove safely checking in on our comfort levels regularly and was attentive to our needs throughout. It turned out he was also a great cook. As we sat on the dunes watching the sunset he prepared from scratch on a wood fire a delicious meal. He also shared his desert and village people knowledge and wildlife knowledge along the way pointing out animals we would otherwise have missed. Being picked up and dropped back to our accommodation was gold. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Salim for your care and thoughtfulness.

5.00To choose absolutely;). We are a French couple. Indar and Vikram are just amazing. The experience was beyond our expectations. They are very generous, very interesting, people who love people sincerely. They are not at all insistent and are very accommodating. The safari was really pleasant, full of sweetness, sharing, in the middle of a natural landscape relaxing and exotic. The meal cooked on a wood fire in front of us was healthy and delicious. We shared this safari with other foreigners, which allowed us to meet beautifully and discuss our cultures. The sunset: never seen one like this in France, to discover;). Indar loves animals, no doubt about their good treatment;). The little extra (even if it’s already perfect as it is): Indar lived in France, it was nice to hear our language spoken so far from our country:).
A wonderful day in the desert. You can trust this company.

5.00Inder (the founder) and his son, Vikram, created a wonderful experience for our family of 9 visiting Jaisalmer from the US. We left the crowds behind and spent a magical evening on a sand dune eating home cooked food, playing in the sand, seeing incredible stars in the night sky, and truly feeling well cared for by Inder and his crew. I would highly recommend their “off the beaten path” camel and desert safari over the crowded and commoditized desert camps that many visit. If you’ve traveled in India you have probably had experiences with tour guides and operators whom you ultimately realized didn’t have your best interests in mind. I thought was just what one accepts in India but my faith has been restored after spending this evening with Inder. He and his crew are simply great human beings who bring joy to their work and love caring for tourists who want to experience the serenity of the Thar desert.
Great time with great people. Whitout hesitation go on a trip with them 🇫🇷🇮🇳

5.00A superb afternoon spent with Vikram and his dad Indar. Vikram take time to explain us the hystory of the city. For the safari we were with 2 other very friendly families. We had a great time in a jeep, a camel and a meal by the fire (Indar is a super cooking chef). They were also very helpful in planning the rest of our trip to Rajasthan. We recommend 110% without hesitation.

5.00Adventure Travel Agency in Jaisalmer made a memorable experience for our family with the half day sunset safari tour. It was one of the best excursions we’ve had traveling around the world and that is because of Inder and Vikram who run an amazing organization. Their team, the location, the food and the experience was 11 out of 10 and best of all we feel we’ve made a friend in Inder! I would highly recommend their services to friends and family. 5.00We did this at the end of a 30 day tour of 10 cities in Northern India and it proved to be the absolute highlight of the trip. Our guide and owner of this long established business was called Vikram and was charming, caring, friendly, super interesting, and professional. During really interesting conversations with him he gave me a fascinating insight into many aspects of Indian life and culture. A truly lovely man who deserves great success and happiness in his life. Vikram speaks excellent English. Turning to the actual camel ride it was comfortable and felt safe. It was completely in the desert wilderness and provided peace and calm from the hectic city life. There are brilliant photo opportunities and all the support staff for the experience were friendly. The food provided is cooked over open fires and was super tasty. There is a feeling of exclusivity as there was only 4 other tourists in our group making a total tracking party of just 6 people. I highly recommend using this company over the many others claiming to provide a similar experience. These guys are the business! Thank you Vikram and good luck in the future. I hope you Dad becomes Mayor one day soon!

5.00Visting Jaisalmer for the 2nd time I highly recommend using Adventure Travel Agency Camel Safari who deliver a UNIQUE out of this world authentic experience of the Thar Desert. A super Fabulous experience riding through the Thar desert Terrain arriving in the isolated dunes with breathtaking views LITERALLY to die for. Its a perfect getaway from it all sort of place surrounded in stunning natural beauty, as far as the eyes can see you were fully immersed into the vastness of the Thar Desert. A refreshing way to experience something so personal and intimate. Friendly staff who are courteous, respectful and so knowledgeable not just about the desert but also on the night sky as we watched the sunset whilst the moon & stars rose. I highly recommend Adventure Travel Agency Camels Safari’s unique tailor made tours be it a long camel trek which I did with them last year and loved loved loved or just a simple sit in the sands to watch the sunset by yourself under start lit nights.
