Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Monkey Forest Ubud holds a significant history intertwined with Balinese culture. Dating back to the 14th century, it has been regarded as a sacred place, housing spiritual forces and guardian spirits. The monkeys, seen as sacred animals, symbolize both protection and mischief, fostering a unique connection between humans and wildlife. In the 20th century, Monkey Forest Ubud gained recognition as a vital conservation area. Efforts were made to preserve its natural beauty, promote responsible tourism, and raise awareness about the cultural and environmental significance. Today, it stands as a cherished sanctuary, where visitors can connect with nature, observe captivating monkey behavior, and support the ongoing conservation efforts.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace

Tegalalang Rice Terrace comprises a series of cascading rice fields. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the area is especially popular during sunrise and sunset. Take your time to explore the terraces, visit the nearby Bali Pulina plantation, and have a go on the mountain-edge swings. To see the fields at their greenest, visit in March, August or September. They're also green in December and February but are slippery due to the rainy season.

The scenes were beautiful and certainly worth the effort to visit. Our driver Widana is friendly and attentive. Besides the site information, he also shared with us some Bali culture, local food knowledge and taught us a few Balinese words ("Sing Can Can" means No Problems!). It was a very enjoyable experience!

Wayan created the tour with the places we wanted to visit. It was great as he adjusted the plan to what we wanted to do. He explained a lot of the traditions and shared with us about their culture

Had an incredible experience on this tour with my amazing guide Surya. He was very knowledgeable in the history of many of the attractions, and also expertly navigated the roads. He knew some of the best spots for photos, food, shopping, and was also very flexible in accommodating my requests to change the itinerary slightly. Overall a very pleasant and unforgettable experience made even better by a terrific host, and I would definitely book more tours with Surya and team in the future! This tour is a must-do and Surya is definitely highly recommended!

The guide Pande is amazing. So helpful and he knows the place well. We could tweak our schedule since they are so flexible. Juliana the owner planned our iterinerary well in advance and it was well executed by Pande. Pande even took great photos of us and did so many things extra for us . They were just outstanding. Highly recommended as they gave us undivided attention . Very punctual , polite, courteous with high ethical values and responsible. Don't think twice.. Just book with them.

Everything worked Out very well. Our Driver, wi, was very nice and told us a lot about Bali and balinese people. He also took us to the best places. I would book a Tour again and would definetly recommend it :-)

Our tour guide Widana aka Wi was super nice throughout the tour and very informative, I would highly recommend taking the tour with him. We went to the Temple by the sea, Temple by the lake and rice fields. Because they are far apart it is a long tour and plenty of time spent driving. Be prepared if you have young kids. Also recommend that your take light jackets as at the temple by the lake it was super windy and cold when we went there around 4 PM.

We choose bebalinesetour on 3 days from our 5 days stay. Our guide, Widana (aka Wi) was very friendly and polite, and gave us cold water every day. The tours were well organised and enjoyable as well. We would recommend the tour and Widana for everyone who wants to visit the most beautiful places in Bali in a short time.
