What To Expect
Uros Floating Islands
Located 8 km. from the city of Puno. This excursion allows us to visit one of the most important attractions of the Bay of Puno of Lake Titicaca ancient civilization that lives within the reeds or totorales, an Aymara language community that maintain to this day their skills as fishing ,bird hunting and egg gathering. Men are skilled builders and drivers of totora rafts and women are skilled carpet embroiderers. this civilization prefers to stay isolated from civilizations on dry land.

5.00Very interesting and well organized tour to the floating islands of Uros with our guide Roly. We were a small group and visited one island with four families who showed us how they build the islands and live. The second stop allowed us for beautiful sunset views too.
