After some pleasant emails back and forth with Yvette we were advised to catch the 0610 ferry from Papeete for an early morning pick-up at the ferry terminal in Moorea. We turned up for the 0610 ferry, only to find that the ferry company had one of its 2 vessels out of service that week for scheduled maintenance, and the next available for us to catch was at 0800. When I managed to contact Yvette at around 0800 she said that we would not be able to join the tour and that we should approach Viator for a refund. We were disappointed that an experienced tour guide would not have known that the ferry she had recommended would not be available for a whole week due to scheduled maintenance.

Mary and Katia were great! They went out of there way to show and tell us stuff that was just off the tour. Great stories and history of the islands. Learned a lot about the Disney movie Moana too. There is lots of hidden messages and culture in the movie of why things are in the Polynesian culture. It was a beautiful day for the tour and Moorea did not disappoint! Thank Mary and Katia! You 2 were wonderful!

A small group, comprehensive experience. Our guide Steven was very knowledgeable and passionate about the island. Sights were nicely varied and plenty of opportunity for photo ops. It should be noted that the drive up/down to the overlook point is rather treacherous, a 4WD experience not so well suited for the faint of heart (but the views from the overlook make it worthwhile).

Unforgettable experience!! Absolutely fascinating 2-hour morning: First, Anna, a marine biologist, explained the theory, the history of the archipelagos, and how HelloReef helps restore the coral reef. Anna was lovely, deeply friendly, and educational; she answered all our questions, it was a true sharing experience in our small group of three. This intimate moment allowed us to gain more knowledge and understanding of the current state of the corals and how to help them on a local scale. In the second part, we went to choose corals at the nursery, which we were able to attach (I won't spoil the whole process) directly onto the rock, each of us taking turns and several times detaching them. Anna is always very attentive and encouraging. In the third part, she took us on a swim around the reef, explaining the colors of the corals, their names, and their species; it was magnificent!! I highly recommend this activity that I already plan to do again! HelloReef is a small organization, and we really feel involved and concerned throughout the morning. Thank you again to Anna for your good humor, kindness, and incredible knowledge of marine biology! She conveys her passion as soon as she explains something to us. Thank you!!

A wonderful jeep tour. There were only three of us, a Frenchman. A couple and me. Our driver Etienne told us very interesting things about the fauna and history of Moorea. A very nice man and great driver, as it was already adventurous on the Magic Mountain. But we were rewarded with a "magical" view. The drive through the Opuhonu Valley was very educational; we learned how Ananas is grown, which I had not been aware of before. It was also interesting that they are not exported, and the whole experience was rewarded with the view from the Belvedere. I can only recommend the tour with Etienne to everyone.

Étienne was a great guide! We were able to discover beautiful places :-) however, we regret not being able to visit the fruit juice factory due to a small organizational issue and delay (for which Étienne is not responsible) the factory was closed upon our arrival. The cocktail and fruit juice tasting is done a bit too quickly, which is a bit of a shame. We did not visit the agricultural high school, which we also regretted, even though it was initially planned in the program. But this morning in a small group was a wonderful experience!

Etienne was a terrific guide full of information on the plants, history and traditions of the island. There’s always so much waiting when on a group tour but he made it delightful by filling in with terrific information.
