What To Expect
Wat Suan Dok
The temples was built in late 14th century, houses several structures of historical significance. Among them include the principal pagoda that enshrines the Buddha’s relics, a garden of whitewashed mausoleums housing the ashes of late Chiang Mai rulers and a large open-air wiharn (assembly hall).
Wat Umong
The temple was abandoned during the 15th century. In 1948 the temple was restored and was reopened as a center for meditation and Buddhist teachings. The temple’s setting in a forested area with a natural lake makes Umong temple an excellent place for meditation

5.00Our private tour guide, Star, was an absolute superstar guide! She was so knowledgeable, polite and guided us at a comfortable pace. Hotel pick-up at 8.30am, three temple tours, and drop-off at 1pm was the perfect duration for a morning tour. Highly recommend for an informative and comfortable tour around some significant temples in Chiang Mai.
