Meet in the lobby area of the Regent Hotel in downtown Revelstoke. You'll begin by filling out waivers and having any questions answered. Your guides will then pick you up and take you to the gear room, which is equipped with several changing rooms. You'll be given a wet-suit, wet-suit socks and a splash top. Fleece tops and neoprene gloves are also available for cooler days. For under the wet-suit, you should wear swimwear or a light pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Any tie on or strap on footwear is acceptable. Feel free to choose from a vast selection of "experienced" running shoes or bring your own. The river gear is machine washed after each use to keep the river gear hygienic, smelling nice and in good condition. Once all rafters are suited up, the rafting bus will pick you up at the hotel. Drive through the historic Rogers Pass, 35kms east of Revelstoke, to river access below Albert Canyon. On the ride up, your guides will deliver a safety briefing and answer any questions. Upon arrival, you'll be issued helmets and life jackets. A photographer will be following every trip. This is a great opportunity to get group photos. The guides take this time to rig the boats and safety equipment and divide the groups. Once at the riverside you are given an instructional/safety briefing to help prepare for your adventure and then you’re ready to go rafting! Time on the river is somewhere between 2 and 2.5 hours, depending on current river flows. On the river, raft up to 25kms of Class II and III white water rapids. The boundaries of Mt. Revelstoke National Park provide a spectacular backdrop to the river. The Illecillewaet River runs through parts of Canada's only inland rain forest with the chance to see river otters, bears, deer, moose and bird life that frequent the area. Toward the end of the trip, enjoy more of a float and take in the surrounding beauty of the Selkirk Range. The rafting bus will meet you at the Take Out. Enjoy a light snack of pastries and fruit while the guides load boats and collect life jackets and helmets. A short bus ride back will return you to the Regent Hotel. The guides will then gather the rest of the river gear. You have the option to change back into your street clothes or go straight into the hotel hot tub for a quick soak. Back in the rafting office, everyone can watch a slideshow of their river adventure. You can purchase souvenir T-shirts and watch a slideshow of the day's photos if you wish. Conveniently located in the hotel is the River City Pub, where you can enjoy a discounted meal. This is a great way to relax to conclude a fun day on the river with Apex Raft Company.

Thank you so much Jay, Dylan and Cade for a fantastic morning!! It was very well organised, instructions where to meet were clear and all the gear was provided and clean! The rafting was great, it wasn’t too rough but that was more due to the time of year we went. Dylan was our guide and was fantastic and gave lots of fun facts throughout. You even get emailed free pictures at the end - couldn’t recommend Apex more!

I had an amazing time rafting with Graham (Gram) as our guide! His expertise in handling the rapids made us feel secure, while his personality helped create a fun conviviality among the group. Graham's knowledge of the river and geography added depth to our adventure and I truly appreciated his efforts to connect with everyone. I'm incredibly grateful for the unforgettable experience and I highly recommend Graham and Apex White Water Rafting for an exciting and memorable adventure!

Great adventure! A bus took us to the boarding point. Along the way, one of the guides explained everything to us in a very entertaining way. Equipped with a wet suit, jackets, helmet and life jackets, we went out on the water. Dilan, our guide was great!!! He explained everything to us and told us a lot about Revelstoke, the area and the First Nations and steered us safely through the rapids. Also our 14 and 17 year old children had great fun! It was also great that one from the shore took photos of us again and again. They were even available as free downloads at the end.

First of all Apex Rafting is clearly well organised and serious provider. Everything from check-in to final goodbye ran very smoothly. I went with two teens - 12 and 15 year olds - and they had a blast! I firsy thought that 2.5h on the river would be too long, but it was just right as the mix between excitment of rapids and chill of the flow is perfect and the guide is actually helping a lot with a need to row. I was also concerned that glacial water will be too cold, but they provide with all possible protection and at the end my kids even took the dip on the river and no one felt cold. Graham our guide was perfect, so lucky we were with him. The area you raft is also amazingly beautiful. So I absolutely recommend!!!

Thank you to our rafting guide Dillon. He was very thoughtful. He talked about local history, the forest, mountains, local wildlife, and worked hard to answer any questions a guest had about the local area. He made us all feel immediately comfortable in his raft. And we all had a blast helping to row through the waters and hit the waves head on. I highly recommend Apex Rafting. Thank you for the memorable experience.

We had a fantastic whitewater experience on the Illecillewaet river. Our guide, Cade, was high energy, enthusiastic and made the whole experience so much fun and really enjoyable. The whitewater rapids were wonderful and he was able to adapt everything to suit all the appetites for adventure in our party - we all had a brilliant time. Thanks so much, Cade!

Did the afternoon session and from start to finish it was a well run operation. During the initial phases all of the guides were helpful and happy to chat. Nick gave a detailed but amusing briefing on the bus to the river entry. Our guide was Cade who was extremely helpful and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip we had a mixed age group on the boat and he interacted with everyone. During the calmer stretch’s he was knowledgeable about the surroundings, nature and history of the Illecillewaet River. A nice touch were the cookies and water melon snacks at the end. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Apex Rafting

The team is super nice and fun, our guide told us a lot about the surroundings and the country by the way. Despite bad weather, the rafting was definitely worth it. A perfect experience to experience Canada up close. The team is very well organized and everything fit perfectly. Those in Revelstoke should not miss the tour. Many thanks to the whole team.
