We had an amazing day on our Halong Bay day tour. Could not have asked for better. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in the Old Quarter. Our guide, Phong, was very helpful, humorous and informative. The bus driver did an excellent job and the ride was very smooth. Staff on the boat were very helpful and friendly. Lunch was seafood based with plenty of food and delicious. If you don’t eat seafood, you can request other options. A handy hint: you cannot take your own plastic bottled water. You can take water in a metal flask or you need to buy it on the boat (30K VND). Our first stop was Ti-Top. 400 step climb to the top (or you could stop at the half-way mark and then come back down) for a spectacular view or you can swim. Second stop was kayaking or bamboo boat ride. A fun way to pass through a cave and visit the lagoon inside. Lastly, we stopped at Sung Sot Cave. The steps up are pretty steep but worth the effort. The cave itself is cavernous with intricate stalactites and stalagmites. Overall, the trip was well worth the long day.

It was a great tour!. The time management was good, the tour guide was perfect and make the trip fun and provided facts of Vietnam and the area. The food was really well made and I had the change to try many different dishes during lunch time. The cave and the sunset are 100% just to travel for that, but the little hike, the beach and the boats creates a day full of activities. Totally recommended.

Ha long bay is really crowded but Sunny was such a wonderful guide for us and tried his best to help us avoid the crowds. He's very responsive, punctual, and organized. Plus, he has a great sense of humor and told lots of jokes to help us feel acquainted.

It’s a long day but well worth it. A good mixture of activities, well organised. Loads of food at lunchtime, you won’t be hungry! The sights are spectacular.

Picked us up from the hotel at 8:05am and finished picking up others in the old quarter an hour later. Then, it’s a 2.5hr drive to Halong bay, stopping at an oyster pearl farm on the way. It was a long day but had so much fun doing the Ti Top hike, swimming, kayaking and seeing the cave. It was busy and there were lots of boats docking at each stop but we got to do it all. Phong was great and kept everyone on time and moving.
