In June 2026, we visited Lan Ha Bay, which is the same as Halong but much quieter. We went on the René cruise with only 13 people. Our guide Vic gave us all the instructions to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The cruise staff could not be more friendly and could not treat tourists better. The cruise is beautiful, an ancient junk but renovated with all luxury. The rooms are wonderful; we were even three people, and they upgraded us to a triple room with a balcony. It is very large for a small boat. It has all the services of a hotel. The food was phenomenal. The brunch, dinner, breakfast, and the demonstrations of making flowers and rolls that Vic gave us were very interesting. We also went kayaking to a beach to swim, and the next day we visited a cave. I cannot have a better opinion of Vic and this company. René Cruises is 100% recommended. Tip: bring a cap, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and strapped sandals. They also include flip-flops and beach towels. Drinks and tips are separate. Thank you, team, keep it up!!!!

I highly recommend this cruise. We were definitely happy with our choice as the itinerary and activities made us discover the quiet and breathtaking Bai Tu Long Bay, in an intimate way. The staff is great and our guide, Vic, made the journey even more interesting and enjoyable. The groups are small (20 people in our group) and Vic made sure the all atmosphere is friendly and respectful. The schedule is well established, giving some private time to relax and enjoy at our pace, but also some activities for new experiences. The explanations were also interesting and we liked that we could discuss, in general, about different matters of the local life (history, Vietnamese culture, local lifestyle...). We also appreciated that the company accommodated with our specific requests and was able to customise the trip for us (shuttle one day early and diets). Everyone in the staff , before and during the cruise, was very professional and attentive. We were a bit afraid that the bay would have lost its glory because of the trash and mass tourism (as we had read in some reviews). But this is not what we experienced. We noticed that all the efforts that are put to progressively remove the trash from the bay seem to slowly pay off, even if of course some trash is still present (by the way, Renea cruise is being attentive to look carefully after the trash and we collected as much as we could on our kayaking excursion). Also, choosing Bai Tu Long bay kept us in a more isolated part where we didn't feel the excess of people at all. Maybe it was helped by the low touristic season. But from what we saw on the pier, it definitely looks like the huge cruise boats staying in Halong Bay (in unlimited numbers) do bring the problems going with the overexploitation of natural places.

We literally just disembarked from our 3D2N cruise with Renea, and I couldn't wait even a day to write this because we are still on such a high! If you are debating which cruise to book for Halong Bay, look no further. Everything about this trip was absolutely perfect. The seamless experience started right from the morning pickup in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Once on board, we fell in love with the classic, authentic feel of the wooden cruise boat—it's incredibly special because authentic wooden vessels are some of the very few left operating in the bay today. The rooms were lovely, the meals were outstanding, and the kayaking was an absolute highlight. What truly set this experience apart was the itinerary and the crew. Going deeper into the quieter Bai Tu Long Bay was the best decision we made; it felt like a peaceful paradise away from the massive crowds. Huge shoutout to our amazing tour guides, Cong and Vic, who took such incredible care of us the entire time. Their energy and attentiveness made the trip unforgettable. Do yourself a favor and book with Renea!

We took the 2-day and 1-night cruise with Renea Cruise. Everything was perfectly well organized. The bus was really comfortable, and the cabin on the boat was really nice as well. The food on the boat was really nice, and the crew was really kind and good too. We loved it. Our guide was Vic, and he made the trip really enjoyable. He's funny and really interesting, and he's got a lot of knowledge about this place. Bai Tu Long is a special place, and we were happy to escape from Ha Long Bay's crowded areas. We loved it very much. We would do it again if we had to choose again.

Excellent tour, very well organized. Hassle-free pickup. The ship and cabin were very well maintained. Three hearty meals, as well as breakfast included. Everything was very delicious. The kayak tour was entertaining. Our guide Cong did an excellent job, kept everyone entertained, and informed us very well. I would recommend it at any time.

Serene experience in Ha Long’s little brother bay: Bai Tu Long. Want to avoid the crowds? Come here! Entire process was super professional from pickup in Hanoi to drop off after the cruise. Entire crew were wonderful and made us feel welcome from the 1st second. Our guide Hung went out of his way to ensure everyone of our group had a great time, from sharing his deep knowledge of the bay and rich culture/history of Vietnam to guiding us sure handedly through all activities! You could feel he’s very passionate about what he’s doing, and that really makes a difference! We had a wonderful time!

There were interpreters in English and French. With our strenuous English, they were very friendly and supported using the kevin Japanese translator. The atmosphere on the ship was good and the activities were very enjoyable and it was a great memory. I highly recommend it.

We loved this cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay, accompanied by our great guide Hung! He speaks impeccable English and French, which greatly helped with understanding and the various group visits. This bay being much less crowded than Ha Long Bay, we were not on top of each other. The services, the staff, and the activities on board were all excellent.
