Hanauma Bay Snorkeling
Hanauma Bay is a sunken volcanic crater and a protected marine life conservation area. The bay is one of the world's best places for beginner snorkelers! Swim among sea turtles and more than 450 species of vibrant tropical fish! We recommend choose the 6:00 am transportation when it is available. You will avoid the crowds and the waiting time to snorkel. State admission fee that is not included, the entrance fee is waived for children under 13, members of the active duty military (ID required), and for residents of Hawaii with proof of residency.

The Bay is awesome. This only includes the transportation. You do secure a spot but it seems many people are also able to go on their own and do so. Driver was nice and on time for both pickup and drop off. Going this route is extra cost (in comparison to Uber) but you don’t have to worry about much other than enjoying your time in the bay.

This is my 4th time in Hawaii, and Ive done a handful of tours. This has been by far the worst one. What you’re paying for is the ride there. -Their staff is terribly unorganized. Pickup stated 6am. But they called me at 5:40. I messaged the tour operator to confirm if it was 6am or earlier, and never received a response. -Low equipment quality: equipment is old. Not as advertised. -Lack of organization: they are extremely unorganized. The driver sends you to someone else, that person was all over the place, and then a third person, sends you off to get in with cash to pay to get in. So they just drop you off, and don’t even take the time to ensure you get in. -Omitting so much of the tour: 1-Lots of walking! There is a pretty lengthy walk down with steps. If you’re disabled or one of your members is, there isn’t communication about this. 2.- Multiple stops to get in. Stopping to collect cash for entrance. Walking down steps to wait to pay. After being let off, waiting to pay. Then waiting to get in to watch an informational video. Then either walking or driving down to get into the bay. -Disclosing that the $25 entrance fee does not have to be cash. -Letting people know that they can bring their own food. -Letting people know that they will be on their own the majority of the time. This seems like a very low budget, low care and certainly overpriced tour. You’re best off ubering there and back (it’s 20-25 each way), as this tour doesn’t cover the entrance fee.

The tour was just a round trip bus ride. But it saves you time to book online Tbe bay is very nice, water is shallow but still lots of fishes.

Amazing experience! Fish everywhere to see. This turned out to be a great time, all we had to do was bring our entrance fee money. Head of the line experience!
