This experience was wonderful. The guides were thoughtful and helpful. They explained the process for renting Hanbok and what we would be doing/seeing. They took amazing photographs, posing us in many areas of the Palace. They also explained historical events and the significance of what we were seeing. Highly recommend!

After meeting our stylish and charismatic guide James, we were taken to the partner Hanbok rental store (additional cost). Though the dressing experience was very rushed and the shop crowded, I found the staff very lovely and so talented! Once dressed in absolutely gorgeous hanboks, my friend and I were escorted on foot to the exceptional Gyeongbokgung Palace by our host James and the photographer. James explained how the tour runs very clearly and we took some practice photos. Our photographer Jacob helped us learn traditional poses of the royal entourage. In between each photo session we had a history lesson. James was so funny, engaging and passionate about Korean history and culture that I could have listened for hours. I absolutely loved learning about the palace and what happened there which is extremely significant to the Korean people. Jacob was apparently a descendant of the royal family and he was so calm, reassuring and sweet to everyone. At the end we received some photos right away, with the rest coming in about two weeks. I can't wait to open the treasure chest of memories from our incredible day. Thank you James and Jacob, and congratulations on a wonderful tour. I feel connected to Korean culture in a way I didn't expect. It might seem like something "everyone does" but wandering around a historical site where almost everyone is dressed in period attire was pretty special. If you squinted you could pretend it was 200 years ago. Just book - you will have a good time with this team.

We really enjoyed this tour quite a bit. Very fun having multiple photos snapped around the castle and with the cherry blossoms while in costume. Our guides were informative at the same time with a fantastic amount of local and historical info. They did a great job keeping the group together and moving from spot to spot. Highly recommend.

This is a great experience. We met outside one of the subway stations in front of the Hanbok store where we got to pick our dress and hairstyle. James and Jacob our tour guides were very knowledgeable and kind. They not only took amazing pictures of us but also gave us a glimpse into the rich history of Joseon Dynasty. We were able to see the beautiful architecture of the palace and walk its grounds while taking beautiful pictures. Both tour guides helped with posing and positioning, taking away the nerves. Felt like we were living a real life K-Drama! Seriously recommend it!

Booked this as a surprise for my mom and she loved every moment! The tour and photo shoot were a blast. James kept it very light hearted and fun even on a rainy day. The unedited previews we received for the photos already are gorgeous and we would definitely suggest booking with him!

I lived my Korean princess moment from the Josen dynasty. James was a great historian explaining the history & taking us to photo spots. Can’t wait to see what the pictures will look like! I’m so glad I did this experience.

I had a really enjoyable experience with this hanbok photoshoot and history tour— great value for money. Even though it rained nonstop, we still managed to get some lovely photos, which says a lot about the team’s effort and professionalism. The hanbok rental shop was fantastic, with a wide variety of styles and price ranges to choose from (just note that rental isn’t included in the tour price). What really made the experience special was James, who gave us an engaging and insightful overview of Korean history along with a museum tour. Jacob was also a great photographer, making the shoot fun and relaxed despite the weather. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Korea!
