On Tuesdays, we tour Changdeokgung & Ikseondong Hanok Street instead (Gyeongbokgung is closed on Tuesday).

★ Visit Hanbok rental store (2mins away from the exit 4 by walk) - Pick Hanbok, dress up, get hairstyling (30 mins) The rental fee(around 45,000won) is paid separately

5.00This has been my favorite tour! I really enjoyed the combination of both a historical tour experience and a photoshoot that allowed me to literally and figuratively “picture” myself as a courtesan. James and Jacob were both professional and lighthearted, which enhanced the experience. You know Jacob is serious when he’s sporting two DSLR camera just for you.

5.00The Hanbok Photoshoot and History Tour at Gyeongbokgung Palace was unforgettable! Wearing the hanbok and exploring the palace felt like stepping back in time. Our two tour guides were absolutely amazing — so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They shared great stories, made us laugh, and helped capture beautiful photos. Truly one of the highlights of my trip to Seoul!

5.00I can't recommend this tour enough! It will definitely be a highlight of our dream trip to Korea. James and Jacob were brilliant tour guides/photographers. We started off at the hanbok rental shop (YES hanbok) and all the staff there were lovely. There was a brilliant range of options and they helped us pair our outfits as a couple. You could really tell how high quality the hanboks were when we got to the palace and could see how they compared to some others. Ours really were stunning! We booked on a Tuesday which meant we didn't go to Gyeongbokgung palace as it was closed, instead we went to Changdeokgung palace. This ended up being fantastic, not only is the site beautiful but the history that James talked us through was fascinating. Plus you get the extra fun of traveling on the bus in hanboks! James was brilliant as a host and history guide. The facts he shared were all really interesting, and he was a very friendly and engaging host. A number times James and Jacob would do part of the tour in both Korean and English. As a Korean learner I really appreciated it. I'm a beginner and this is my first time in Korea and I've struggled to have the confidence to try speaking Korean, but I managed to do a little bit with James and Jacob and they were really encouraging. It gave me a bit of a boost and I've since been speaking more! Overall it was a really fantastic tour! You'll definitely not regret booking it if you do.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with James and Jacob! The whole time was enjoyable, our photos were taken in beautiful areas of the palace and James’s mini history lessons made it even more fascinating. They’re both incredibly friendly, warm and accommodating. I’m so glad I booked with them, even my boyfriend loved it and he usually doesn’t care for photoshoot lol. Would highly recommend!

There was thorough communication in giving the meeting point location and time to renting the hanbok from YES Hanbok. Not only were we photographed by 2 professional photographers but an historian in James and insightful stories from both about Gyeongbokgung Palace and South Korea.
