What To Expect
Join me in my workshop to handcraft your own sterling silver ring! You take part in every step, from designing to hammering, shaping, & adding finishing touches for a unique ring made entirely by you. What to Expect: 1. Design Your Ring: Start by choosing the shape & style, exploring different options to make it uniquely yours. 2. Size and Cut: Decide which finger the ring is for, then measure & cut your silver to fit. 3. Add a Personal Touch: Choose hand stamps to inscribe a custom message—like a name, date, or even a favorite phrase—on the inside of the ring. 4. Form the Ring: Use mallets & a triblet to roughly shape your ring. 5. Soldering: I’ll demonstrate how to heat & solder the silver, joining the ends to create the ring. 6. Check Fit and Finalize Shape: We’ll ensure a comfortable fit & refine it into a perfect shape. 7. Textures and Markings: Add personalized textures or markings to make the ring truly yours. 8. Choose Your Finish: Complete your ring with a polished, satin, or rough forged look to suit your style. By the end, you’ll have a beautiful sterling silver ring to keep, handmade in the heart of Bruges—a special memento of your time in our magical city.

5.00This was a fantastic activity. Richard, the host, was personable and made everyone feel relaxed from the start. The experience lasted over 2.5 hours, but the time flew by because you are busy the whole time. We would highly recommend this experience.

5.00My girlfriend and I had the best time making our ring with Richard. He's the perfect combination between kind, entertaining, interesting, and professional. Throughout the workshop you're guided as what to do, but how you do it is up to you. There's so many different choices to make (size, thickness, inside and outside of the ring, polished or not,...). I was mostly surprised about how much we were able/allowed to do. Richard only took over twice, but all the rest was up to us. As a local, I'd definitely recommend this for friends and family but as a tourist it's also a great activity.
