Harunire Terrace – A Forest Village in Karuizawa Harunire Terrace is a stylish open-air spot in Karuizawa’s Hoshino area. Surrounded by elm trees and connected by wooden boardwalks, it feels like a small forest town with 16 shops and restaurants offering nature, food, and culture. Food & Cafés Try handmade soba at Kawakami-an, fresh bread at Sawamura, or coffee at Maruyama Coffee. Italian, Chinese, gelato, and crepes make it ideal for casual dining. Relaxing Atmosphere Benches and terraces by the river invite you to relax. Seasonal events include the colorful Umbrella Sky and winter illuminations. Nearby Spots Within walking distance: hot spring Tombo-no-Yu, the Stone Church, Kogen Church, and trails in the Wild Bird Forest—great for day trips. Asama Farm – Nature and Animal Experiences in Gunma Asama Farm in Tsumagoi Village, Gunma, offers a scenic setting with wide meadows and views of Mount Asama.
