What To Expect
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Part 1: Hanoi Highlights: (2 hours) You will be greeted by the tour guide and driver at your hotel lobby we then ride to Ho Chi Minh Complex to have a quick visit to Ho chi Minh mausoleum – the Mecca of Vietnamese, Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Residential area and One Pillar Pagoda. 1. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Closed every Monday and Friday, and annually from mid-June to mid-August. Open to visitors five days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays) from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM only. 2. Can we see Hanoi Train Street? Watching the train pass through the famous Train Street is included in all afternoon tours, as well as Monday and Friday morning tours (when the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed). Train Street also serves as an alternative activity if the Mausoleum is closed, or if you prefer NOT to wait in the long queue to enter.
Temple of Literature & National University
After Ho Chi Minh Complex, we move to Temple Of Literature, a 1000 year-old iconic architecture of Hanoi to learn about Vietnamese long-standing culture and history.

5.00Amazing tour guide was so good. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He talked about the history and backstory of Vietnam while also talking about his personal experiences which made the experience feel more heartfelt. The way he talked about everything was just perfect. He talked when things where silent which made it more comfortable to speak to him and he made the environment more friendly.

5.00A great tour of Hanoi central and outer areas. Our tour guide Freddie was knowledgable, friendly and approachable and made our whole group very comfortable. Our driver Tom was also very skilled and lead us through some tight spots. The former open air military jeep was surprisingly comfortable and fun. An overall a great experience!

5.00As a first time visitor to Hanoi this jeep tour is the way to go. Our guide Fred was exceptional, knowledgeable and fun! From the spectacular classic Vietnamese lunch, our visit to Train Street and at times a harrowing drive through the streets of Hanoi, our driver Mr. Phong ensured our safety. Fred was eager to share her knowledge about the history of the city, and even brought us to the home of a local Vietnamese musician who shared his talent with us. Thanks Fred for a truly wonderful day!

The Backstreet Jeep Tour gave us a fascinating look at parts of the city we never would have discovered on our own — from hidden neighborhoods and local markets to rich history and everyday life away from the tourist crowds. Our tour guide Fred was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and had a great sense of humor. Fred explained Hanoi’s history and culture in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely interesting, and she made sure everyone felt comfortable and involved throughout the tour. Our driver, Mr. Phong, was equally wonderful. He drove with great skill and care through the busy streets, making us feel completely safe the entire time. His calm professionalism and warm smile added so much to the experience. The combination of an open-air jeep, well-chosen stops, great storytelling, and the personal touch from Fred and Mr. Phong made this tour unforgettable.
