What To Expect
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Part 1: Hanoi Highlights: (2 hours) You will be greeted by the tour guide and driver at your hotel lobby we then ride to Ho Chi Minh Complex to have a quick visit to Ho chi Minh mausoleum – the Mecca of Vietnamese, Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Residential area and One Pillar Pagoda. 1. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Closed every Monday and Friday, and annually from mid-June to mid-August. Open to visitors five days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays) from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM only. 2. Can we see Hanoi Train Street? Watching the train pass through the famous Train Street is included in all afternoon tours, as well as Monday and Friday morning tours (when the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed). Train Street also serves as an alternative activity if the Mausoleum is closed, or if you prefer NOT to wait in the long queue to enter.
Temple of Literature & National University
After Ho Chi Minh Complex, we move to Temple Of Literature, a 1000 year-old iconic architecture of Hanoi to learn about Vietnamese long-standing culture and history.

5.00Had the best time with Anni and our driver, Mr Lucky. His military driving experience really came through as we felt comfortable navigating through the crowded streets of Hanoi with a young baby in his jeep! Anni is very knowledgeable about Vietnamese, and esp Hanoi, history, and her interest really comes through. Her English is excellent and she was very professional, and also very sweet to our baby who periodically had a meltdown. I appreciated that she gave us many tips on where to eat and go after (that tourists would never be able to find on our own) and also helped us get to the train cafe in time to watch the train go by as I said that that was our one must do!
No Regrets!!!

5.00Fantastic tour with Louis and his driver navigating the bustling streets!! Louis made us feel like we were his friend and not just another tourist. Great food, knowledge of Hanoi and numerous stops to take in the culture. This was our first day in Hanoi and we are sooo glad we started our Vietnam stay with this excursion! 5.00One of the best tours we’ve ever taken. Freddie absolutely knocked it out of the park with her outstanding knowledge and wonderful sense of humor. Can’t pinpoint our favorite part cause we love them all. Freddie even got to meet her friend who was a war veteran in his 80s. It was such a nice touch to the experience. Our driver was fantastic as well, superb navigation skills. 100/10 we’ll tell everyone in Canada about it!

5.00We had a wonderful experience with our guide Fred and our driver Leo from Hanoi Backstreet Jeep Tours. Both were extremely patient, kind and understanding of our family, especially our child with special needs. We really enjoyed getting to know the authentic Hanoi, visiting the vegetable markets, tasting traditional jackfruit and sugar cane, gaining insights into family life, learning about the history and visiting some of the most important sights. Our lunch at Café Hidden Gem was perfect. The jeep was the ideal way to experience Hanoi, and Mr. Leo navigated us through the traffic chaos excellently. Fred's friendly nature was very pleasant, and her knowledge was excellent. Mr. Leo was very helpful, too, and we loved it and can highly recommend the entire tour.
