What To Expect
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Part 1: Hanoi Highlights: (2 hours) You will be greeted by the tour guide and driver at your hotel lobby we then ride to Ho Chi Minh Complex to have a quick visit to Ho chi Minh mausoleum – the Mecca of Vietnamese, Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Residential area and One Pillar Pagoda. 1. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Closed every Monday and Friday, and annually from mid-June to mid-August. Open to visitors five days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays) from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM only. 2. Can we see Hanoi Train Street? Watching the train pass through the famous Train Street is included in all afternoon tours, as well as Monday and Friday morning tours (when the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed). Train Street also serves as an alternative activity if the Mausoleum is closed, or if you prefer NOT to wait in the long queue to enter.
Temple of Literature & National University
After Ho Chi Minh Complex, we move to Temple Of Literature, a 1000 year-old iconic architecture of Hanoi to learn about Vietnamese long-standing culture and history.

5.00My husband and I booked the American Jeep City Tour for our first afternoon in Hanoi. It’s such a fun and unique way to explore the city—open-air, up close, and full of character. The itinerary was perfect. Seeing the famous Train Street, the Temple of Literature and the B52 bomber site. We even visited a traditional Vietnamese family home. To top it all off, we ended with an incredible egg coffee which was absolutely delicious. Huge thanks to our tour guide Johnny (who was also an expert photographer!) and driver Windy.

5.00Due to other commitments we chose the 2.5hr tour and it went by very quickly. We would recommend the longer tour if you can. What made our trip was guide Huy who gave a great commentary & was vey knowledgeable. He answered in depth when questioned about an aspect of Vietnamese life. An impressive young man, well done. Our thanks to the strong, silent driver, Mr D for safely navigating us around the streets. A well oiled operation which went to time.

5.00Had a wonderful experience with Hanoi Backstreet Jeep Tours. Our guide Anni was absolutely fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. The four and a half hours went by in a flash, with some very interesting insights into the history of Vietnam along the way. The real highlight for me was visiting the B52 Bomber Museum, which was fascinating and something I would not have discovered on my own. The tour ended perfectly with great food, drinks, and Vietnamese coffee. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hanoi.

5.00This was a last minute booking I made the night before and as it ended up, we were the only two in our group, so it was a private tour for my husband and myself. The tour guide, Jim, was very friendly and informative and took care to explain everything we were seeing. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the jeep tour to anybody who wants to see the sights in Hanoi. He even offered to send us suggestions for other things to see and places to eat, which we appreciated.
Super tour with Johnny and Lucky!!! Many unusual places visited! Wedding cake factory !!!
