We travelled as a family with 2 kids. Since it was in Jun, we wanted to avoid the harsh humidity of the afternoon so had booked the half day tour which starts at 4:00 pm. Peter was our guide. He is a teacher and had the patience and passion of passing on several history anecdotes and stories while taking us around to train street, prison, mausoleum and lake. Our 3 and half hour trip was worth it, comfortable in a dedicated car. Drinks at the train street and prison entry tickets were on him. He wasn't upselling us anything, just sharing his knowledge. In the end, he dropped us off at the great small artisnal restaurant which was great to try the local cuisine. Overall, peter is a thorough professional with great knowledge of Vietnam, Hanoi and local culture.

We received a WhatsApp message on the morning of our tour, from our guide Sandy. Sandy was promptly waiting in our hotel lobby at the agreed time. We were pleased to find out that we had a driver and car to show us around the city which was a blessing given how hot and humid it was. Sandy asked us if we had any particular places we wanted to see, which we did not. Sandy was very informative and kept to a steady pace. We quite enjoyed seeing the prison and in particular learning how well the Vietnamese people had treated the Americans captured and held as POW’s during the Vietnam War. We finished up on train street and enjoyed a cold drink. Just in time for a train to pass by. We were then dropped back at our hotel. A pleasant few hours and very enjoyable.

Tour was well worth the money especially if you’re traveling with senior citizens. Our tour guide Sandy and her driver were very accommodating. Sandy was energetic, fun, and full of knowledge of current and historical events. This is an addition plus to our private tour . The van was very clean and comfortably air conditioned. Truly enjoyable. Thank you Sandy .

The tour was great very informative, Max, the guide, was very informative and helped us understand more about the culture and history. I love the free beer lol. The driver was very kind too and found a way to get to the church even though there is road closure. Max also provided recommendations for good places to eat and shop in Hanoi. He mad sure we have good pictures too!

Peter was Incredible! Extremely knowledgeable, professional and fun. This was last minute booking but you would be er have known. He called ahead to ensure we didn't miss the prison and we had front row seats on train street. At the end he gave us some great local recommendations which turned out great too. We had a short time in Hanoi and this checked all the boxes!
