What To Expect
Located on a small island in the middle of West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda is the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, dating back over 1,500 years. Explore the peaceful surroundings and learn about the history and significance of this ancient site.
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
The tour guide will take you to walk across the front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to take photos and learn about his history. We do not enter the Mausoleum, as the queue can take approximately 1.5 hours. After that, you may visit the One Pillar Pagoda if you wish.

Anna took the time to understand what we were interested in and tailored the itinerary perfectly to suit our preferences and pace. She showed us places we never would have discovered on our own—hidden gems as well as less-visited sights that gave us a deeper feel for the area. Her knowledge and stories made each stop more meaningful, and she was friendly, patient, and easy to talk to throughout the tour. The whole experience felt relaxed, personal, and well-organised. It was clear that Anna genuinely enjoys what she does, and that enthusiasm made the day even more enjoyable. We left feeling like we had seen a side of the destination that most visitors miss. 5.00I am very grateful to Tripadvisor first. I have been contributing my stories for a longtime. Hanoi Half day tour stands out forever just because of our tour guide. Max is the name. For his age He was an exemplary intellectual and commands very good English. Communication in a foreign country is valued at a Million dollars. I thought we had best for the last. We were rushing back home to catch return flight. I was under duress. But Max has been a revelation and steered us to stress busting city tour followed by arranging transfer to Hanoi Airport. I think not only me any one every one can count on him Wishing him and his tour operator the very best. He will go places. Thanks for the experience.

The Highlight of our Tour was the Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison and Train Street. I would highly recommend Peter and his company Vietnam Creative Travel.

5.00We booked this to help us see the key sites in Hanoi, while getting to know the place on our first day. It was great. James (our guide) was wonderful, well informed and very proactive in getting in touch in advance, with a suggestion for a pre meet breakfast. Our driver did a great job of getting us around and was always on hand. We really enjoyed the tour, saw plenty without feeling rushed.

5.00We had a fantastic city tour of Hanoi last Friday, made truly memorable by our guide, Peter. He was an excellent guide — incredibly knowledgeable about both old and modern Hanoi — and explained everything clearly in excellent English. Peter was very happy to answer all our questions and thoughtfully tailored the tour to suit our interests. The four hours flew by and we came away having learned so much about the city’s history, culture, and everyday life. Highlights included a delicious bowl of soup and noodles along the way and the unforgettable experience of watching the train pass by from a coffee shop, which was quite incredible. A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour. We would highly recommend Peter to anyone visiting Hanoi and wanting a deeper, more authentic understanding of this fascinating city. And I must also mention our driver who magically appeared at to take us to the next location right in cue.
