It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

The theatre was clean and inviting All staff very friendly and helpful The show was fantastic and we sat at the very back last row! This didn’t take anything away from it. The effects were good and added great excitement to the show

First time in Lyric Theatre, the ambience since you start approaching the Theatre is pure Harry Potter vibes. The Sound plus Special effects are out of this world. Flying, Fighting and Spells well done. If you want a closer look experience and get more involved with the performance, get closer seats.

This is a truly broadway worthy piece of art on stage. Some magical special effects play out along with some time travel story …that was sort of ok to follow but you kinda just had to roll with it. One special effect had us mesmerized even after we left. My complaints : the - ahem - dandy interplay with Harry and his hug buddy + the casting of hermione . Cmon . Another bad point : concession prices. Whoa ! Another good point. Theatre was prepped with high tech fun interplay with mobile phones.

The story was just so so. It was a little difficult to follow even though I’ve read all the books and seen all of the movies and I’m a huge potter fan. The father son characters were so close in age. It was a little unbelievable. However, the magic that they did on stage was out of this world amazing. It’s worth seeing the show just to see that.

Absolutely magical! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in New York City was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment the lights dimmed, I was completely transported into the wizarding world. The performances were phenomenal—each actor brought the characters to life with such passion and precision. The choreography and stage effects were truly mind-blowing; I kept asking myself, “How did they do that?” Every scene was so well crafted, I never wanted the show to end. The energy, emotion, and storytelling were beyond anything I’ve seen on Broadway. And if you’re going—getting Platinum Lounge access is a must! It made the experience feel even more special with early entry, a private bar, and a relaxing space before the magic began. Whether you’re a lifelong Potter fan or new to the story, this show is a masterpiece. Truly one of the best nights of theatre I’ve ever had! ✨🪄

Staying on broadway we wanted to experience a show. Initially we went to the ticket booths in Times Square to purchase a ticket on the day but they offered a very poor service and did not appear interested at all! So we decided to visit the theaters booth directly. A great gentleman in the booth found us some great seats at a good price sitting in the orchestra section. The show is nearly 3 hours long with a short interval. It was fabulous! Acting was great. Good humour throughout too. There are amazing affects which will thrill you. Not seen affects like this on a stage before. Very well executed and designed! Great show for all ages. Lovely small theatre with character too. Go ahead and book it!

The dialogue was long and often not very entertaining. The choreography was simplistic and not always well executed. In addition, the theatre was absolutely FREEZING cold - almost absurd. And, definitely did not need the woke twist of the two male characters. Unfortunately, the show was no where near worth the price of the ticket.
