Great mix of Scottish and Harry Potter history. Hazel was an absolute delight, and made the journey both fun and educational.

You get insight behind the inspiration of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books which is very interesting, but folks should understand nothing from the films is done in Edinburgh. We loved going to the castle afterwards and recommend the audio guide. It was self guided which we really enjoyed. Plan on at least 2 hours to see everything. We had soup and sandwich in the castle that was great and there are plenty of restrooms around should you need them.

Our ship was late getting to port by 4 hours so we missed the start of the tour and they were unable to give us a meet up place an hour into the tour. They did send us the tickets to the castle, so we were able to see that. So, we basically missed all the guided part of the tour and just got tickets for our money. It was better than nothing, but still disappointing. They did offer us a tour on another day, but we couldn’t do it since we were on a cruise ship.
