Set off on a magical tour of Edinburgh with our fun Potter-head guide, and see the places that inspired JK Rowling to create her wizarding universe. Then, enter the incredible Edinburgh Castle!
Starting at Tron Kirk on The Royal Mile, we first head to historic Waverley Station. Then head to Edinburgh University Old College - a famous old campus which provided lots of inspiration for JK Rowling’s creations.
We continue through the atmospheric Old Town, stopping at Greyfriars Kirkyard which inspired Tom Riddle's Grave and passing by the Elephant Café where JK Rowling sat for many hours dreaming up the world of Harry Potter!
Get amazing views of Edinburgh Castle on our way to Victoria Street - said to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley - and we finish near Edinburgh City Chambers where you’ll learn about JK Rowling’s impact on the city.
After the tour, you'll be given your tickets to explore the beautiful Edinburgh Castle!

Royal Mile
After meeting your guide and fellow Potter-heads near Tron Kirk Market, your tour starts with a stroll along Edinburgh’s world-famous Royal Mile!
Edinburgh Waverley Station
We’ll stop at a great viewpoint to see the historical Waverley Train station, much used by JK Rowling and an inspiration for trains being an iconic part of a young wizard's journey.

1.00The tour has nothing of Harry Potter, you are a real fan not worth paying for, plus it can be done free with a white parasol guides, on the main street. It tells something about J's life. K. Rowling and nothing else. I do not recommend this tour is to waste time and silver.

4.00This tour is for Potter heads. Benjamin, our guide, was lively and entertaining. 2 hours walking about to JKRowling sites and 1.5 hours on our own at the castle.

5.00Our tour guide Kirsty was great. It was like a guided tour and theatre all at once. If you are a Harry Potter fan, this tour definitely is for you. If you’re not a fan, you will also have fun (please ask my dad, who was with me and who hasn’t seen any of the movies or hasn’t read any of the books).
