Set off on a magical tour of Edinburgh with our fun Potter-head guide, and see the places that inspired JK Rowling to create her wizarding universe. Then, enter the incredible Edinburgh Castle!
Starting at Tron Kirk on The Royal Mile, we first head to historic Waverley Station. Then head to Edinburgh University Old College - a famous old campus which provided lots of inspiration for JK Rowling’s creations.
We continue through the atmospheric Old Town, stopping at Greyfriars Kirkyard which inspired Tom Riddle's Grave and passing by the Elephant Café where JK Rowling sat for many hours dreaming up the world of Harry Potter!
Get amazing views of Edinburgh Castle on our way to Victoria Street - said to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley - and we finish near Edinburgh City Chambers where you’ll learn about JK Rowling’s impact on the city.
After the tour, you'll be given your tickets to explore the beautiful Edinburgh Castle!

Royal Mile
After meeting your guide and fellow Potter-heads near Tron Kirk Market, your tour starts with a stroll along Edinburgh’s world-famous Royal Mile!
Edinburgh Waverley Station
We’ll stop at a great viewpoint to see the historical Waverley Train station, much used by JK Rowling and an inspiration for trains being an iconic part of a young wizard's journey.

5.00Our guide Hazel was absolutely stunning. She was a load of information that made us feel like we were there with JK Rowling and the creation of Harry Potter. She showed us so many wonderful things that made me feel like I was a part of Harry Potter and how the movie was inspired by so many things in Edinburgh. She also played games throughout to make you think about parts of the movie and she even talked about history of Edinburgh and how it tied into the Harry Potter story. This was one of the best tours I have been on and I highly recommend it. Great job Hazel!!

5.00Much enjoyed Kristy’s sense of humor and overall disposition. She gave us some great bits of information as she walked us around and showed us the sights. I have never watched Harry Potter and booked this more so for my family but I still enjoyed it all the same.

5.00What a delightful experience. I usually go on tours and they are a bit basic history ‘this’ or this is where someone died ‘that’, I wanted a bit of whimsy in a historical location. Our tour guide Jackson did such a good job giving us cool facts, Harry Potter trivia & connecting places to the book & movie. He had us laughing and kept us entertained. 2 hours went by so fast. I also have to appreciate the management team. I ended up 1 minute late (late train & an exhausting steep hill) was my villain. They were able to reconnect me with the group since they do start promptly. A nice pair of walking shoes is needed.
