The guide was awesome, very enthusiastic and really was doinghis best, however, the tour is not exactly what it is advertised. It is more of about JK Rowling's life in Edinburg... I wish there was more information about the history of town rather than where JK Rowling sat and ate... also, if you are traveling with children make sure you triple communicate that with the agency. It was advertised as free for children and had no option to book a child for this tour, Despite me writing a comment during the booking, they forgot to pre-book the castle ticket for my child and offered no assistance in getting one, the only options I received were to go try and talk at the gate or drop the tickets all together and get a refund for that part... very disappointed with the service on that. However, the guide was trying to be as helpful as he could, but received a lot of restrictions from the agency.

This is a really fun tour, it gives you a good sense of the area, takes you to some lovely places that you wouldn’t discover otherwise. Highly recommend and request Benjamin, he adds a pizzazz to the tour that few others could match.

Benjamin our tour guide was great. A real Harry Potter JK Rowling aficionado. He gave great behind the scenes info on how Rowling used many Edinburgh sites and people as an inspiration for her works. He was funny and entertaining. The castle tour was also excellent and it was great walking in the footsteps of history.
