Set off on a magical tour of Edinburgh with our fun Potter-head guide, and see the places that inspired JK Rowling to create her wizarding universe. Then, enter the incredible Edinburgh Castle!
Starting at Tron Kirk on The Royal Mile, we first head to historic Waverley Station. Then head to Edinburgh University Old College - a famous old campus which provided lots of inspiration for JK Rowling’s creations.
We continue through the atmospheric Old Town, stopping at Greyfriars Kirkyard which inspired Tom Riddle's Grave and passing by the Elephant Café where JK Rowling sat for many hours dreaming up the world of Harry Potter!
Get amazing views of Edinburgh Castle on our way to Victoria Street - said to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley - and we finish near Edinburgh City Chambers where you’ll learn about JK Rowling’s impact on the city.
After the tour, you'll be given your tickets to explore the beautiful Edinburgh Castle!

Royal Mile
After meeting your guide and fellow Potter-heads near Tron Kirk Market, your tour starts with a stroll along Edinburgh’s world-famous Royal Mile!
Edinburgh Waverley Station
We’ll stop at a great viewpoint to see the historical Waverley Train station, much used by JK Rowling and an inspiration for trains being an iconic part of a young wizard's journey.

5.00What a great tour to take if you are a Harry Potter fan. Jackson was such a motivated fun tour guide. He had so much Scottish knowledge and of course HP knowledge to keep us motivated and happy as the rain came down. My family and I truly had a wonderful time learning all the inspirational sights in of the HP world in Edinburgh. We’d do it again.

5.00Our tour guide Kirsty was amazing! She was interactive, funny and knowledgeable. We are big Harry Potter fans and she gave us interesting facts to the movies and actors. There were many different people from different countries and she knew how to communicate with each and every one. She understood all humor and language and made the tour very comfortable and fun. Being from the United States, our family enjoyed listening to her speak with her local dialect.

5.00Everyone (even non-Harry Potter fans) enjoyed this tour. Our guide Jackson, was the perfect fit for a Harry Potter tour. Excited, knowledgeable & personable, we all enjoyed learning more about JK Rowling & Harry Potter. Did not expect the 1 1/2 hour time difference between when walking tour ended & our timed admission to castle. Had to rearrange our schedule for the day, but it all worked out!
