Tour Guide
Langfoss Waterfall
Langfoss is a spectacular 612 meter long waterfall in Åkrafjorden. It’s so beautiful, that in 2011 CNN included it on their list of the worlds 10 most beautiful waterfalls. Langfoss finds itself in a fairy-like landscape, surrounded by steep mountains and wide hillsides, and small farms. This is the place to experience the real nature in it’s entirety. A trip to Langfoss is a must while visiting Haugalandet. IMPORTANT! A week before the day's tour we will send you a message with the final schedule of the tour. The departure time is set by the operator.
Haraldshaugen
Haraldshaugen is a beautiful national monument that commemorates the unification of Norway in a single kingdom. The monument was built in 1872 to commemorate the thousand years of Norwegian unification after the Battle of Hafrsfjord.

Our tour guide, Hans, was terrific. He's a native of Haugesund, and knows it inside out. The excursion to the waterfall was very interesting, due in no small part to his narrative about this area of Norway, the history, geography, and customs. The Langfoss waterfall itself is impressive - it's difficult to do it justice in pictures. We traveled through beautiful valleys and fjords, and saw so many picturesque villages, farms, and forests. We stopped at a cafe where we could purchase coffee and pastries - a nice top-off to our slightly chilly waterfall visit. The company communicated well, and the meeting point was on the pier, right next to the ship. Hans and the driver expanded the excursion with a trip through Haugesund since traffic was light, and we made good time- and got us back to the ship in plenty of time.

It's 1.5 hours from the cruise port to reach Langfoss Waterfall but it was a terrific waterfall. Afterwards we were able to stop by a restaurant/convenience store for a quick bite before heading back to Haugesund.

This trip with Christine was really a great trip. She is born in German and has lived in Norway for many years. That's why we got so much information about the country and people, even on the margins. That's great. It all fit in with the passage of time. We had a fantastic weather. The waterfall is impressive and really worth a trip. The bus ride was not too long and you could see the landscape of Norway. Thank you for this great trip.

The area had experienced a lot of rain, so the waterfall was breathtaking! Voted one of the top 10 waterfalls in the world, and we now know why! It is 1.5 hour drive each way, but the countryside is gorgeous. Hans was our guide and did a wonderful job. Definitely a site not to be missed!

It’s an hour and a half bus ride to the falls. But our guide was very entertaining during the ride. We enjoyed seeing he old church and I particularly liked the lullaby that was sung to keep the trolls asleep.
