These guys could herd cats! They are very professional and run the operation well, even when dealing with a large number of people, not all who do as asked. After check-in we had a pre-flight/glacier safety briefing and then we were given jackets, socks, shoes and pants. All done smoothly and quickly. We were then allocated helicopter numbers (keeping travel groups together) and seats to according to weight distribution, but don't worry, if you didn't get a window seat on the flight up, you get the opportunity to have one on the flight back. After a short flight, you land on the glacier and are given your crampons and walking poles if desired, and off you go on the ice in your groups with your guide. We spent close to a couple of hours on the ice, and were given many photo opportunities. It's not a strenuous walk and the guide will quickly see how capable the group is and will tailor the difficulty of the walk accordingly. After your walk on the ice and the process is reversed and you are quickly returned to where you started. Everything is arranged extremely well.

This was simply the best experience we’ve had on any vacation. Staff were all excellent and helpful. Our guide, Jody, was the perfect guide. Positive & cheerful, with a great sense of humor, Jody made us feel comfortable and shared so much about the glacier, its history and the birds of the area. The helicopter ride was fun and we had sufficient t time on the glacier. It wa quite expensive, but after experiencing it, totally worth it! Thank you.

A fantastic experience! From the quality of clothing and safety equipment to the experience on the Glacier, we couldn't have been more delighted. Will ensured everyone was safe, was informative, very approachable with questions that we had and made sure we got to see all the features on the Glacier during our visit.

An incredible experience exploring Fox Glacier. The guides (Anna, Tori, and Toe) were superb — extremely knowledgeable, shared lots of interesting information, and were very safety-conscious. I would highly recommend this experience!

Brilliant, incredible amazing!! We were probably very lucky with the weather because the first thing you are told is the trip could be cut short but we were lucky enough to have lots of time on the glacier and see loads of very cool features. Bring over 50s were a little anxious as not super confident walkers and no experience of climbing but felt very comfortable and safe at all times. The guides were both fun and informative, the equipment we were given was very high quality. One of the more expensive things we did on our travels around New Zealand but also the best thing we did. So glad we chose to do this and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately the trip got. Cancelled due to low cloud and rain. Cancellations and refund were dealt with reasonably efficiently the communication could have been a little more helpful but not much can be done when Mother Nature intervenes

While the only way to get onto the glacier is now by helicopter, a bit more of a helicopter tour before/after landing on the glacier would have made this outstanding. Still. The glacier use has shrunk over the global warming decades and very grateful to have been able to take my family into it. Guides were accommodating, friendly and informative.
