About £25 adult including amphibious duck boat ,excellent value. Spent over 3 hours there, could have spent longer. We were extremely lucky to have had charles Harvey demostrate the musket. He has missed his vocation as a comedian. Very funny and knowledgeable , we wont forget him . Hence our thankyou in this review. The tour guide was also funny and knew the history inside and out. The castle is in amazing condition lots of history with amazing views. We will definitely be going again .

We visited the castle on a drizzly Friday afternoon but the weather did not dampen our spirits, or those of the sergeants we watched in the living history experience. Our teenage boys loved the musket experience which was well worth the visit alone - the guides were so knowledge and explained the history in a way that was straightforward to understand. And the rest of the castle had so much history - I would definitely return to spend more time here.

This is a must see - the tour with Walter Raleigh was brilliant - he was funny and informative and genuinely made our visit - he had my teenage son completely hooked

Sadly the amphibious vehicle had broken down and the tide was in so couldn’t walk to the castle. Was told to return later that day. Paid for parking again and returned only to find the amphibious vehicle was still broken and had not been replaced by their other vehicle. Walked across but castle had shut early so couldn’t get in. Couldn’t walk to castle the following day due to tides so missed seeing it. Shame as it’s the no.1 must see attraction in Jersey and reason why we got the Heritage Pass.

Visited on a beautiful autumnal day. The standard of visitor information and the knowledge of the guides is first class . The firing of the musket and cannon was a treat with a funny and educational commentary by the guide. The castle is full of interesting nooks and crannies. The newly refurbished hospital building is fantastic. The views are spectacular in all directions.

Took the ferry over - and experience in itself - before exploring the castle Excellent introduction from a guide then went off to the Parade Ground to meet Sir Walter. Highlight of the day - entertaining and informative.

This was such a fantastic place. Really good going across at high tide in the amphibious vehicle. Fantastic views from the top of the tower. The musket and cannon demonstration were exceptional. Didn't know what to expect , but was not disappointed. Great fun, you should join in if you are able. The acting and knowledge and interaction really made this a special visit.

A great day. We visited as a family of 4. Lots to see and the kids had a great time with Lots of nooks to investigate. Would recommend. We walked instead pf the bis/ferry trip as we were lucky with the low tide and I think this added to the experience walking the causeway. There was a demonstration of the canon being fired.... was a great experience. And the cafe was great with beautiful food and drink.

Absolutely great time at Elizabeth Castle. Beautiful weather, though at one stage slightly windy, but well protected within the castle itself. We took the Dukw both to and from the castle. Going we were more on land than in the water (3 foot depth approx) as the tide was coming in. The return journey was better though as we were afloat. The whole experience of Elizabeth Castle was magical. We had the Sir Walter Raleigh tour. You couldn't ask for a better person to show use through the castle. Full of wit, charm, humour and factual details, so many historical details. He was an experience to behold. Ensuring that the audience took part also. He had great patience for someone like myself, who is very slow moving and runs out of energy very quickly, due to medical issues. We would strongly recommend you pay a visit to Elizabeth Castle should you go to Jersey. The visit can last has long as you wish, a few hours or all day. We spent all day, time just flies past. There is a cafe at the castle should you feel peckish or thirst, prices are very reasonable.
