Explore some of Charleston's enchanting alleyways and historic sites on this small group, 2-hour walking tour. With our small group tours, you are guaranteed a more intimate and up-close experience. Charleston's alleyways are fortunately located within the popular historic district which allows us to include some well known points of interest and go a little "off the beaten path” while exploring the history and beauty of Charleston's enchanting alleyways. These pedestrian passageways are often overlooked, but walking along these cobbled paths is an opportunity to appreciate Charleston's rich history and hidden, more intimate charms.

Interesting inside view of old Charleston, the private gardens and alleys. The historic explanations however were very whitewashed. There was no mention of native people that would have been there when the British arrived. No mention of slavery but an emphasis on confederate history.

Very educational. Learned things that were not in the history books. We highly recommend this tour. So much interesting information. Dennis was a fabulous guide. I wish I had him as a history teacher when I was in school.

Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. As a lifelong Charlestonian, he gave a great overview of the city’s history from its founding as a colony all the way up to present day.

Our guide was so passionate and was committed to telling stories of unsung heroes. He also pointed out trees and plants. We had a few dog pet stops too.
