Max is an extremely affable and incredibly knowledgeable guy and guide! We toured Castle Combe, Malmesbury and Bath with him as well as traveled for a good part of the morning along the ancient Roman road or the "Fosse Way." Rather than give us just an extensive chronological history, he shared with us ways of seeing history in each place. It was a wonderful and memorable day!

The day with Jules was simply amazing. A former teacher who settled in Bath and now gets to do what he loves, he kept our attention from the very first sentence to the last. What really stands out about him is how much he cares about showing the best of the Cotswolds, including the small hidden gems that often escape the usual tourist radar. The scenery felt like it was from another world, and all day we felt as if we were living in a fairytale. Jules made sure we were comfortable the whole way and offered wonderful suggestions for where and when to stop for a bite. Visiting some of the most spectacular sights of the South Cotswolds, like the iconic Lucknam Park Hotel and the surrounding villages that have served as filming locations for popular series, including Harry Potter, made it a perfect dream day in the Southwest British countryside.

Greatest tour guide!! Simon Whittaker was so knowledgeable and informative…he couldn’t have been more personable. His ability to know the history of the area and facts were amazing. Showed us villages off the beaten path which really gave us a feel for the area. We highly recommend him as a guide and would use him again in a heartbeat! Thank you Simon!

We had a wonderful day visiting several villages in the Cotswolds. Our tour guide Ralph was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He made sure my wife had a good time. He tailored the tour to our needs. His van accommodates a lot of people so if you are traveling with a group you would be comfortable. We definitely recommend this tour.

Our private driver and tour guide was Roland Hurrell with In and Beyond. We can't say enough good things about him. His vehicle was immaculate and comfortable, he was always on time, experienced, friendly, and engaging--we spent a lot of time laughing. He took us to numerous places in the Cotswolds, and was a great source of history of the sights. We would absolutely recommend him personally, and will request him if we return to the UK. Thanks again for a memorable trip! The nutty bunch, Cheryl, Brenda, Beth, Heather, and Holly

Had a wonderful tour with Ralph! We booked a shared tour but it ended up just being my husband and myself so Ralph was able to customize it a bit to our interests and include bits from their Jane Austen tour as well. It was much more relaxing and enjoyable than trying to figure it all out ourselves with a rental car and we were able to see and learn so many things we would not have otherwise been able to do on our own. Definitely a highlight of our holiday. Highly recommend!

In spite of anticipating a few people on his tour, it turned out to be solo. Simon Whittaker took me on a personal tour of the Cotswolds that turned out to be one of my favorite days of a 15 day tour of England and Scotland. Being from the area originally, he shared history, insights, thoughtful conversation, myths and folklore, interesting information about films, authors, stars, and books and generally made the day very special.

The most amazing tour I have ever been on! You’re literally stepping back in time! Everything is preserved beautifully. We highly recommend this tour. In @ Beyond Bath are an exceptional tour company! The BEST part was our tour guide Ralph! So informative and personalizing the trip to our needs and interests. It was like touring the Cotswolds with an old friend. Ralph made our trip exceptional. We decided out of all of our tours, he was the best tour guide we had, and we had some very good ones! Thank you Ralph and In @ Beyond Bath Tours for making it a perfect day!

We had booked a private tour of the Cotswolds through In and Beyond Bath. Our tour guide Max was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and also the whole experience. The history of England in Malmesburry, the beautiful view of the town from the river Avon, the different breeds of cattle on our way, the green countryside, the beautiful castle Combe village, the manor house and the delicious Victorian plums we picked from the garden all is etched in our memory. We also enjoyed the wonderful pub lunch in Gibbs and the hot chocolate and coffee in the Olde bell hotel in Malmesburry. Certainly a memorable experience. Also would like to thank Jules for his prompt response for all our queries.

We were 7 Spanish friends celebrating a special birthday in Bath, and we decided to trust Jules when he proposed to adapt one of the "adventures" that he usually organise, to the idea we had of a day in the Cotswold. The result was perfect! A great day accompanied by Irina, a fantastic guide, well organised, discreet, smiling all the time and making our life easy and interesting. She took us to some charming villages, gave us the best information and by the end of the day, we felt that she was one of us, thank you Jules! and thank you Irina
