Kawaguchi Asama Shrine
The shrine was built to pray for the goddess of Mt.Fuji to settle down the eruption 1200 years ago and there are 7 ancient trees in this place. Since the location of the shrine is far from the touristic area,we can enjoy the sacred atmosphere quietly.

5.0010/ 5 stars for our guide, Yuki!! He was extremely knowledgeable about everything we asked about and then some. (And we asked a lot of specific questions) He has a very intimate knowledge of the area and was able to whip up a completely custom itinerary for me based on some very vague goals. He could always sense the perfect time to take a good picture too. It honestly felt like a good friend was showing us around and if we ever go back to summit Mount Fuji I would reach out to him without hesitation.

5.00Had a fabulous day with Yuki travelling around the Mt Fuji area. Yuki was a delight. We saw much of the area while side stepping the crowds. Yuki was informative and our day was varied and interesting. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji in all her glory. Highly recommend Yuki as a tour guide and a lovely person to spend a day with.

5.00Fantastic shrines, forests, and lakes. We were interested in nature and cultural history and he provided it all! Stopped for local udon lunch and loved it. Didn’t feel rushed at all. We never would have found any of the stops on our own. We highly recommend Yuki🎎💕

5.00Our family had a wonderful tour with Yuki - his local and cultural insights were very much appreciated (such as the history and practices at the Asama shrine) and the views of the lakes and Mount Fuji were breathtaking! Even before the tour, Yuki had reached out with a suggested itinerary and to find out our interests in the area. In addition to the 5th station of Mount Fuji, Yuki brought us to other viewing locations with awesome views but fewer crowds and we enjoyed the visit to a lava cave in the forest and lunch at a local Udon restaurant. The tour was truly a highlight in our holiday in Japan, and we would highly recommend Yuki as a guide for your explorations around Mount Fuji!

5.00It was our 1st visit to Japan and to Mt Fuji. Our private tour with Yuki-san was a great experience and we could not have asked for more. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating and made our trip very comfortable. We covered many unique spots such as the lava caves, Japanese Garden as well as many shrines. We’d great lunch at local udon restaurant. We would highly recommend him as a tour guide for English speaking visitors. Thanks to Yuki-san for making it a memorable experience for all of us.

5.00Our private tour in Mt. Fuji area with Yuki was amazing and informative. We were 3 adults. He was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. He took us to the 5 lakes, shrines and water fall. He explained the history of the places we visited and took nice pictures of us. He even took us to eat with locals. It was a lot of fun. Yuki English was perfect. This was one of my very favorite places to visit in Japan. Kudos to Yuki, I could give him 10 stars rather than 5👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
