I had the best experience! I was the only one who booked the tour for the day that I went and my guide made it very engaging and fun still. Great conversation and the views were incredible. He was very flexible with weather and wanted to maximize having the best time. I could not recommend this experience enough!

We had a great time on this hike!! The guide was very knowledgeable about Iceland and other topics around the world! He brought his dog and she was the cutest addition to the hike. Highly recommend booking this when visiting Iceland!

The original hike didn’t happen due to rock-slide in that area. Magnus, the hike guide took us to another peak which was higher in elevation and beautiful. His lovely dog Lisa is very friendly and keeps checking on the slowest hiker. We were 3 hikers and one of them decided to not go further after the half way (possible option), 2 of us carried on with Magnus. He is knowledgeable and gives you good local information. Loved it. If you love hiking then don’t miss this one.

Amazing hike!!!! Thank you Magnus for a wonderful hike. And thank you to Lisa - you made our hike more memorable than the view.

Magnus is an excellent guide for hiking! We had an amazing time climbing the mountain and watching Magnus’s dog, Lisa, climb the mountain at least three times over!

Magnús was very communicative through the app and prompt on pickup. As a person who is generally very hesitant to initiate conversation in the car, Magnús made me feel at ease while having converation. During the hike he was very informative of the hiking area and gave a wide array of information. The hike itself was not too difficult (I would classify it as intermediate) when I went but I had ideal weather (often more windy than what I encountered). There was some steeper inclines followed by it leveling out which made it easy to get some stamina back in between. The views were spectacular and was a great way to start the day 🤩 As a bonus, I inquired about restaurants in the area and he was able to provide me some suggestions. He even happened to have some fermented shark for me to try. I was warned about the taste, but surprisingly to both of us I liked it! Highly recommend the hike and Magnús to navigate through the experience!

Fantastic trip! Our guide, Magnus, communicated well the day before the trip and collected us from the hotel exactly at the agreed time. Due to conditions we weren't able to go to Mount Keilir as planned but the alternative was excellent. Magnus was very knowledgeable and an interesting conversationalist. The weather was fantastic and this combined with the snow made for a memorable trip. Magnus chose to bring his energetic and well behaved dog which only added to the experience.

Magnus is an excellent guide. The hike he will propose will suit your fitness level and it's going to be in accordance with the latest safety regulations regarding volcanic activity in the area. He is truly attentive to your needs and he pays great attention to safety. As an Icelander, he will provide you with lots of info about life in Iceland from the perspective of a local. His dog Lisa will be another highlight to your day. I recommend Magnus for your hiking tour in Iceland. You won't regret it a bit!

I got a unique experience to hike solo with Magnus and Lisa his sweet and fearless lab. We ended up hiking a different mountain (Helgafell) due to the seismic activity affecting Mount Keilir. It was truly the highlight of my trip. The views were otherworldly, the hike was challenging but not overly, and Magnus was the best hiking host, who struck the perfect balance of conversation and letting me soak it all in! All within a quick drive from downtown, getting to experience this hike which is a favorite to local Icelanders, was something I won’t forget. Couldn’t recommend more!
