5.00I haven’t been a frequent reviewer since 2019, but I’m writing this for my friend Lencho. Lencho has been one of the most attentive and interesting people I’ve met during my journey in Guatemala. Even though I initially had no expectations, his attentiveness and friendliness truly impressed me. Instead of simply introducing the place, he offered much more—sharing his own stories and telling me things only locals would know, such as why certain roads are constructed the way they are due to past corruption. He also gave excellent restaurant recommendations—trust him, and you’re guaranteed to have a great feast. These are insights you wouldn’t learn unless you were a local, and they added real depth to my understanding of Guatemalan life. Thank you, Lencho, for being such a great guide and for allowing me to see and understand Guatemala beyond the surface 😃

5.00My guide Juan Carlos arrived right on time for my pick up. One hour 20 min to parking lot from Antigua. Gathered our things and made our way to the top in about an hour. I found the hike very easy. Back down in 45 minutes and then back to Antigua. Juan was an excellent guide and I would recommend.

5.00Extremely satisfied with the service provided. Very accommodating tourist guide. Yasmine organized everything on super short notice (only one hour). The driver picked us up at the hotel in Antigua, waited for us at the volcano side, and took us to the hotel in Guatemala City, kindly stopping at the restaurant. Everything was 100%. The price was competitive. Definitely recommended!

5.00We had an amazing experience with Alfonso to hike Pacaya! He was prompt, professional and kind and paid attention and adapted to the interests of my family, which made it a more meaningful and enjoyable experience. We climbed with small kids and he had patience too.

5.00The experience exceeded my expectations! Our guide picked us up in an 8 passenger van from our AirBnb and drove us to the volcano. He guided our hike and shared some facts along the way. He ensured he was going at an appropriate pace for our entire group and ensured everyone’s comfort and safety. You’re able to get a “horse taxi” at the base to take a horse up the volcano instead of hiking, if needed. We had pizza made on the volcanic rock and roasted marshmallows. There was a souvenir shop next to the pizza stand on the volcano to buy jewelry or other items made with the ash from the volcano. At the base of the hike, we were able to get fresh coconut water and frozen coconut popsicles to rehydrate. Our guide then drove us back to the AirBnb. It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience and our guide was amazing!!!
