It’s the most famous Castle in Transylvania and waits for you to visit it. It’s believed to have belonged to Vlad the Impaler, the real ruler behind the name of “Dracula”. But what is a myth, and which one is the truth? You can find out if you choose to take this private tour.
The second part of the trip is dedicated to the outdoors. We will visit Pestera, a timeless place. A village surrounded by the most magnificent mountains you will ever see. A place where the locals still live like tenths of years ago. A place barely touched by technology. What To Expect
Bran Castle
The morning will take us to Bran Castle where the legend of Count Dracula is kept alive all year round. Built in the 13th Century, Bran Castle is an intriguing hilltop fortress, and one of the most famous landmarks in Romania. Tourists gather from every corner of the world to experience a guided tour of this majestic castle, which is famed to have belonged to Vlad the Impaler, the alleged inspiration for Count Dracula. Both of these names are steeped in mystery and myth, and you will delight in exploring the origin of both.
Pestera
Next on this fantastic day trip, you will be treated with a walk along Pestera Village, which is one of the most beautiful authentic mountain villages in Romania.The simplicity of this place and the stunning views will leave you breathless. This will be an easy 3 to 4 km trail, 100-200 m elevation height, total 1 to 2 hours hike on wide pats with no exposure or dangerous cliffs ( at request we can make the hike shorter or longer, or just seat for lunch on a local restaurant ) This trip is suitable to families or any other groups of people that can walk slowly on various terrain for 2 hours. Mandatory gear: Light hiking shoes, clothes that suits the outside weather and rain coat.

5.00Really enjoyed our day trip with Ramona to Pestera and Bran Castle . We really like walking so was refreshing to be out of the city and taking in some beautiful country views. Ramona had first hand knowledge of the area so was a good walk. Bran Castle is one of those places you go to when in Transylvania. We already had a bit of knowledge about the castle and it was also a relief to know Ramona was not going to add to the myth but was informative about its origins.

5.00Traveling from Australia we wanted a personal real Romanian tour to see the village life and regional Romania We got this from this tour!!! Unbelievable 👍👍 Ramona our tour guide was fantastic and made the tour extremely personal and catered for our needs and personal experiences we wanted. Ramona gave us great detail to the history of Romania and Bran Castle and also introduced us to genuine Romanian food Overall if you travel to Brasov you must get a tour with Ramona as you want forget it 10/10 Cheers Trav

5.00The Hike&City was the highlight of our trip so we totally recommend it. We did what was planned in reverse because of the weather forecast: a hike in mountainous villages (with some snow!), a lunch in a restaurant where we tried lots of Romanian foods, and then the visit of the castle. For context, we stayed in Romania for a week and travel to multiple places using public transport. Without a car and without the knowledge of where to go (especially as we had never travelled to Romania and were a bit worried about bears), we would never have been able to do this hike without Ramona and we loved it so much. Romania isn't just big cities and a look into the history of the country shows that a big part of what makes the country was for a long time lots of small farms on remote villages, therefore seeing the nature is definetely a big plus, that's why we picked this tour and not another tour with only the castle. I read the Dracula book while on our holidays and the landscapes that we saw (we had a nice view on a mountain pass and saw some specific hay stacks and small houses) matches the descriptions from the book so it's very topical to pair this hike to the Dracula castle visit. Lastly our guide Ramona was very nice, before the trip I was concerned that it might be awkward to spend the whole day with a stranger but she was very friendly and we chatted a lot, about Romania, the countryside and her personal experience there but also normal chatting. We had a really great day. It was my first time making a booking on TripAdvisor and I wasn't sure if it would be worth the money but the nice landscapes, the food, and the chat with a friendly local person were really worth it.

5.00We had 2 trips with Ramona and this was one of them. We are a family of four. We were amused by her stories. She is an excellent guide and a good company. She really knows how to match the right type of trip to the right type of group. Even the teenagers liked hearing her stories about the places. We had the pleasure of having lunch in special and intimate places only she knows about. Thank you Ramona for the experience. We have good memories and the photos to prove it. Highly recommended.
