In the winter:

Get away from the big ski centers, and step into the fresh powder, black slopes and skiing or snowshoeing among the trees.

What To Expect

We will pick you up in the morning in Prizren and take you to the magnificent Sharr Mountain National Park. We will start from around 1500m elevation, and hike 12km to about 2500m elevation and back, depending on your fitness level. On the way, you might catch a sight of local fauna: chamois, tortoises, foxes, eagles, bears... from a safe distance ;) We will have a break on one of Sharr's summits, with a picnic that we provide, and enjoy the panoramic views on Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania's mountains. In the winter, we can offer this tour with snowshoes or touring skis (you can rent the equipment from us at a discounted price).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic snow-shoeing adventure with Edis in February 2026, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. We drove in a convoy of two cars up a dramatic, hairpin-lined mountain road, and he guided us confidently along the snow-covered route at the top. From the very beginning, we felt completely safe and well looked after. Edis was incredibly patient while fitting our snowshoes and just as patient as we made our way up the mountain at our own pace. He carefully selected a route with exactly the right level of challenge — enough to feel adventurous, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Having the mountain entirely to ourselves made the experience feel even more special and unique. After descending from the snow, we relaxed at a lovely hotel where Edis generously shared his time and his personal insights about living in Kosovo. His warmth, knowledge, and passion added so much depth to the day. This was a unique and wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience with Edis, and cannot recommend him enough! he is higly knowledgeable about the outdoors, as well as the culure and history of Kosovo. If you need an outdoor guide in Kosovo, Edis is your guys!

Even though we called Edis spontaneously via our hotel, he had time for us and we could do a trip to the Sharr mountains with him. We had an amazing hike and Edis could tell us a lot about the nature and also about Prizren and the Kosovan and Albanian culture in general. Thank you for the great time! If we’ll ever be in Kosovo again, we’ll call you for the next trip! I can highly recommend Edis as a guide in the Sharr mountains.

The hike was amazing and the highlight of my stay in Kosovo. Edis was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the area, well prepared, great company and the picnic was lovely. There was snow on the mountains so we used snow shoes, which Edis provided. The mountains were so peaceful. Highly recommended hike.

Found Edis on the web when searching for a mountain guide to the top of Velika Rudoka, Kosovo's highest peak. Contacted him and got a speedy reply. We shortly met on my day of arrival in Prizren and discussed the basics. Edis picked me up on time and the day was simply perfect. On the descent we stopped at a shepherds hut and got invited to taste Sharri Cheese. What a nice add-on! And in the evening I got invited to dinner with his visiting friends from France. Looking for a mountain guide? Go for sporty Edis!
