We were originally due to do a full day trip to Tamarind Falls but we got rained off at the last minute. Kevin was very happy to offer an alternative, so we did La Tourelle in the morning and Le Morne in the afternoon. Both climbs are challenging in places and involve the use of ropes and/or rock scrambling but we were expertly guided and felt safe throughout. All in all we had a busy day with some serious exertion which is exactly what we were looking for!

Kevin was highly knowledgeable with regards to the terrain. He kept our climb safe, jovial and informative throughout, all whilst capturing it all splendidly on camera. Would highly recommend, look forward to more trips with Horazis.

I was looking to hike La Tourelle while in Mauritius and Horazis came up in my research. Kevin was very helpful from my initial enquiry until we were able to arrange a date for the hike. On the day itself we set off in the early morning to avoid the heat of the day. The hike is somewhat strenuous but always great fun and Kevin allows plenty of time for resting for anyone that needs it. There were lots of great views on the way up, but nothing could beat the view from the summit itself, looking south over Black River towards Le Morne. We had plenty of time at the top to take in the views and Kevin is a fountain of knowledge about the local flora & fauna as well as the history of Mauritius. I’d have no hesitation in booking him again or recommending him to others. As well as La Tourelle, Kevin offers hikes all over the island so there is definitely something for everyone.

I had an amazing time hiking with Kevin. He is incredibly patient, helpful and knowledgeable. Best experience was the view once we reached the top of La tourelle. Well worth all the effort to walk up the mountain. It is a view I wouldn’t have been able to experience on my own. Definitely recommend!

Climbing Pieter Both mountain is a short (4.5km) but steep hike, challenging in parts but great fun. Kevin is a great guide with lots of knowledge about the mountain, plants and animals. Highly recommend this hike, great view from the top.

Kevin took me on an awesome last minute hike up Pieter Botha while I had time off from work, and it was the scariest and most thrilling hike I have done. After the cyclone warning the rocks were super slippery to climb, but he got me up and down the mountain safely. After the fantastic views from the top this was definitely an experience I'm not forgetting. Thank you Venture Mauritius!!
