Le Morne Brabant is a mountain of the south-west of Mauritius, on the peninsula of le Morne. Our team has been the first ever guides in 2004 to bring guests from all over the planet on this majestic rock. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO since July 6, 2008, the site is a sanctuary of the runaway slaves who would have committed suicide by jumping off the cliff of the mountain.
Le Morne Brabant is one of the most preserved and wildest mountains of the island. It is habitat to a very large variety of endemic and narrow-endemic species, such as the rare Trochetia Boutoniana, which is our floral emblem.
Some steeper parts of the ascent will require the use of our hands to progress safely towards the top, where we’ll discover the breath-taking views on the west and south-west lagoons and part of of the island !

Very nice hike to Morne Brabant with Rowin!! We have climbed Morne Brabant and we will keep an excellent memory of it. Rowin is a really nice, nice and professional guide. He immediately puts at ease and ensures that everyone feels safe, especially in the more technical passages. It also shares interesting explanations about the history of Le Morne, which makes hiking even more rewarding. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly from start to finish. A very nice experience that we recommend without hesitation. Thank you Rowin for your good humor and the pleasure of meeting again!

We knew that the ascent of Le Morne was technical and rich in detail and that the result would be assured. We were guided by Jordan who accompanied us and allowed us to move forward according to the pace of each. He was attentive at every moment. We have always felt safe and this is important because we had read many contradictory opinions. We also discovered the flora and fauna of Le Morne and also its history. The scenery is beautiful and the final view is an incredible memory. It is really necessary to have hiking shoes, 2 L of water per person. It was a necessity for us to use a guide and we do not regret choosing Yanature. The Bonus is our meeting with Jordan who is very kind and who has helped us to count this Jewel that is the Brabant Morne.

We started the hike at 6AM and I highly recommend doing the same — it’s the perfect way to avoid the crowds and the heat. The early morning light made the views even more impressive, and the whole experience felt peaceful and special. The hike took us about three hours to complete at a comfortable pace, including time to enjoy the views and take photos. It’s absolutely beautiful and very rewarding. Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen — even early in the morning the sun gets strong quickly. Our guide, Rowin, was fantastic. Super friendly, very knowledgeable, and he paced the hike perfectly. He shared interesting facts along the way and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re considering this hike, go early and ask for Rowin — you won’t regret it!

Hiking with kind, experienced guide, Jordan Hiking Le Morne was truly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. It is, without a doubt, a must-do activity in Mauritius. Our guide, Jordan, was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive throughout the entire hike. He made us feel completely safe and supported, always encouraging us and carefully guiding us through the more challenging sections. Thanks to him, we were able to fully enjoy the adventure with confidence and peace of mind. Reaching the top was absolutely breathtaking. The views were beyond words — the turquoise lagoon, the dramatic cliffs, and the endless horizon created one of the most stunning landscapes we have ever seen. This was more than just a hike; it was a powerful and unforgettable memory that we will cherish forever. We are so grateful for this amazing experience. Highly, highly recommended. If you want to make precious memory and hospitality in Mauritius, meet Jordan and hike Le Morne with him!
