Le Morne Brabant is a mountain of the south-west of Mauritius, on the peninsula of le Morne. Our team has been the first ever guides in 2004 to bring guests from all over the planet on this majestic rock. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO since July 6, 2008, the site is a sanctuary of the runaway slaves who would have committed suicide by jumping off the cliff of the mountain.
Le Morne Brabant is one of the most preserved and wildest mountains of the island. It is habitat to a very large variety of endemic and narrow-endemic species, such as the rare Trochetia Boutoniana, which is our floral emblem.
Some steeper parts of the ascent will require the use of our hands to progress safely towards the top, where we’ll discover the breath-taking views on the west and south-west lagoons and part of of the island !

Découvrez Le Morne Brabant ! Une montagne du sud-ouest de l'Île Maurice, sur la péninsule du Morne. Déclarer patrimoine mondiale par l'UNESCO le 6 Juillet 2008, la montagne est le sanctuaire des esclaves marrons, qui se seraient jettés du haut de celle-ci pour préserver leur liberté et échapper à leurs maîtres. Se situant sur des terres privées, le Morne Brabant est l'une des montagnes les plus préservées de l'Île. On y retrouve une très haute densité, et variété, d'espèces endémiques, tels que la très rare, Trochetia Boutonania, notre emblème florale nationale.

5.00Paj from Yanature was a wonderful and patient guide. It was my first trek ever and I could do it because he guided me at every step. He took us to most of the viewpoints on Le Morne Brabant and also taught us about the various plants and fauna on the way. Great positive attitude and a v helpful guide!

5.00We had a wonderful hike up Le Morne with Theo, he was a wonderful guide taking us on a route on which we saw lots of wildlife and beautiful views. It’s not the easiest of hikes but totally worth it when you get to the top as it was amazing. Theo was happy to take lots of photos of us, was really informative about the nature and we just couldn’t recommend the whole experience enough!

5.00This morning we hiked the Tour du Morne without going up to the top because we had someone injured in the group. Theo guided us at all times with kindness, kindness and many explanations about nature, the island, customs, animals, etc.... all in impeccable French. It was very beautiful and beautiful with moderate walking difficulty. We highly recommend!!!
