Pedra do Sino, 2275m high, is the highest point in the Serra dos Órgãos National Park and can be reached from the city of Teresópolis.
Our service starts with the transfer service from your hotel (in Rio de Janeiro x National Park x hotel (Rio de Janeiro). We will continue by car to the Park, where we will start our 11km walk to the Shelter where we will spend the night. the sunset and the sunrise. Then we will descend 11km to the car to return to Rio de Janeiro.

Starting the hike in the National Park
Accommodations
Overnight in the shelter, in bed or bivouac, according to availability.
Serra dos Orgaos National Park
This is the starting point of the hike. Our destination will be the shelter of the Bell, where we will spend the night. We will do 11-14km of walking uphill all the time, at a very comfortable pace. The walking distance increases on days when the park does not offer transportation to the beginning of the trail. On the walk you will see the beauty of the Atlantic forest. In the shelter, you will sleep in bed or bivouac, depending on availability. And you will have a kitchen with all the equipment you need to prepare your breakfast and dinner. But if you want, you can add breakfast and dinner to your reservation.

After watching the sunrise, we will have coffee and descend 11km at a comfortable pace, for 4-5 hours, enjoying the beauties of the Atlantic Forest

A great day out in the forest

5.00Claudia was very helpful with lots of advice in advance. I had planned to do the 3 day trek but it wasn't the right time of year and I had to pick to do the first or last day. I think it was a good choice for me to do the day in the forest as I was most interested in the plant life. Odin was my guide on the day and he was super friendly. I don't speak Portuguese but his English was very good and he gave lots of background about the plants and comparison with the forest in Rio. He matched the things that I was interested in - looking at different details in the forest - and he did a good pace. The car for the transfer to the start of the walk was nice too.
