Brilliant historical walking tour with Martin in Bruges. Really interesting and he has a good sense of humour...and did well to keep us in the shade during this hot weather. Would definitely recommend 👌

During a mini cruise from Southampton in February, we bought a day outing to Bruges, with an experienced guide, Joseph. On the return walk back to our coach, several of our party crossed to the left side of the road to look at some road workings. I had my left foot run over by an older teenage cyclist with a girl sitting on the back. This made me fall on the cobble stones. The cyclists did return and ask me if I was hurt, to which I replied, bruised but I hope nothing broken. He left without apologising and I had to hobble back to our coach supported by two fellow visitors. On the ship, the ex - ray showed the fifth metatarsal on my left foot was broken and sticking out! It was very painful. Now three months later I am still unable to drive, clean my house or walk my dog! Earlier during our walk round Bruges, I noticed cyclist weaving dangerously between pedestrians in the main street. Do your cyclist have any rules, or training? In Britain our children learn how to use the road safely while in Primary School. From my experience and observation, I suggest that you need to urgently address this problem! I am not alone. On returning home by taxi, I spoke to a neighbour, who immediately said someone in her family had been pushed over by a bicycle and hurt in Bruges!
