Our tour guide, Dean, was fantastic. We scheduled the 8pm tour and lucked out because we were the only ones scheduled for that time - so we had a great “private tour”! Our guide was so knowledgeable, kind and funny. I feel like we learned so much about Salem. Topics varied from the witch trials, the architecture of Samuel McIntire, American revolutionaries with other historical stories thrown in. Every question we had was answered, but not in a textbook way. The vibe was very much a conversation between history enthusiasts. The 8pm tour, although dark in some places, was perfect. Dean let me sister and I know exactly where to walk so we wouldn’t fall if the path was a little uneven. 10/10 would recommend this tour.

This was so fun! Dawn did a wonderful job of combining history and humor - with an appropriate amount of hauntings - all the way through. The time flew by and my friend and I came away with a much more personal experience of this beautiful town and it's history. Great job, Dawn!

Be very very careful when booking with this company. Make sure you book via Viator so that you can get a refund if your plans suddenly change. I booked a tour direct and they refused a refund even with a 24 hours notice. Their emails were also pretty rude and inaccurate. They ended up offering me a gift card which they didn't need to do but it's pretty pointless when I won't be back in Salem and they totally knew that. This experience has really put a dampener on my visit to Salem. I deliberately booked with a female ran local company for a couple of tours to show my support. Wish I hadn't bothered.
