Dave provides context to everything from the terrain and the architecture to the street art, and the dining scene explaining the history and life of Donostia with clarity and enthusiasm. His magic book of images and maps is very helpful. Highly recommend doing this your first day to help plan the rest. His recommendations on restaurants, pintxo bars, ice cream and the true Pastel Basque are much appreciated.
