On April 30th, 1975, what the Vietnamese refer to as the 'American War' officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time, the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam
War Remnants Museum
Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black and white photography in the 'Requiem' exhibit is particularly touching and is dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict.

5.00We had a very informative tour with Minh. We also had a great driver and vehicle to get round in. Minh’s English was excellent. It is a great way to see the main attractions in a short time and to get a local perspective of historical events and of the city itself.

5.00Our guide Tony was excellent. Well versed in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) history and customs/culture. Spoke excellent English and he was quite flexible in planning our activities and tailored them to us. Our driver was also excellent. Highly recommend Roadstour Vietnam.

5.00Excellent tour of city if in Saigon for short time. Our tour guide ( Minh) was excellent, telling us about the history of Saigon. Minh even went out of the way to accompany us to see the Emperor Jade Pagoda even though we had run out of our timeframe due to spending so much time at The War Remnants Museum. Minh was an excellent guide and recommend asking for him as your tour guide.
