5.00Hao was an amazing tour guide and showed us the most interesting aspects of the city during the jeep tour. He was knowledgeable, interesting, thoughtful, and a joy to be with. He also went out of his way to create an enjoyable and meaningful experience for us. The jeep was a fun way to traverse the city.

5.00Being huge Jeep fans this had to be done, I even wore my Jeep T for the trip, so was a tad disappointed that it got lost in translation that we wanted to tour in a Willys Jeep not just a later version of CJ. That being said it certainly didn’t ruin the open top exploration of the city. Jane our tour guide, was exceptional! We pushed her boundaries as we’d already done so many of the obvious locations, which she gracefully accepted the challenge of taking us to the real Saigon, not just all the usual tourist traps. The highlight for me was the “spy cafe”, which really tied together some of the missing details in our previous tours. We visited real back street local markets and stalls of resounding beauty and character, showing us the gap between the wealthy and the this less fortunate. Ask for Jane, her bright bubbly and informative tour guide experience seriously made up for the lack luster experiences we had endured until meeting Jane.

5.00We arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on New Year’s Eve, we got to our hotel at 6 am and go to bed at 2 pm after ringing in the New Year at the hotel. We originally booked the 10 o’clock tour but we changed it to 1:30 pm. It was fairly hot But more than manageable. The tour itself was fantastic, informative and thoroughly enjoyable. We’ve been on several chores through out our travels, Banff in Canada, New York City, Paris, Dubai, Hanoi to name but a few. This is the best tour we have ever been on! That was down to 2 things, the first, was our driver, Tung, he was fantastic. The last tour we went on, the driver had aspirations to be Max Verstappen and although during the tour it raised a few smiles, it got a little bit too close for comfort sometimes. Not so with Tung at the wheel. There are 14 million people in Ho Chi Minh City and 11 million motorbikes, and every one of them seem to be out the day of our tour but there was no problem at all, Tung took everything in his stride and my wife and I sat at the back of the Jeep taking in all the sites with not one care in the world! The star of the show was our tour guide Mimi, absolutely amazing so she was! Professional, informative and ever so friendly. My wife and I are both in our late 60s and early 70s, we are far from a couple of dodderers but after three hours sleep in 48 hours and a fairly hot day, we were feeling the pace. Mimi was absolutely brilliant with us both, she really took care of us! As I said before, she is a star! Her English is brilliant and her sense of humour and charm are even better than her English! If you get Mimi as your tour guide, you are onto a winner! The tour itself has a brilliant itinerary, we went to the Independence Palace, war remnants museum, the post office, the market, a beautiful temple, all of which were explained in detail by Mimi the magnificent! We took a private tour, it’s about four hours long but if you want to cut it shorter they will work around you, it was the best money we have spent on two trips to Vietnam!

5.00It was a wonderful evening! We visited places with Kim and ate things we never would have dared to do on our own. Super super exciting, you really get an insight into the way the locals live and we ate soooo well! The ride with the open Jeep was also an experience! Highly recommended 👍🏻
