There are a lot of Saigon food tours to choose from, and I wasn't sure if this would be worth it given it is a little pricier than the other options. But I didn't want to be relegated to only food in District 1, and I liked that this tour gave the opportunity to see other districts, so I chose this one. And I am SO glad I did!! Our family of 5 were greeted at our hotel by Happy and Star and three other guides, who then led us to our first stop where we met up with another couple for our evening tour. All the stops were great - they were clear we wouldn't get banh mi or pho given we can easily find that on any corner, or back home in the US - so it was nice being able to enjoy other food options like banh xeo, nuoc xo, banh cuon, com tam, and trang mieng. There was a bun dish I had never been exposed to in all my years living in Little Saigon as a Vietnamese-American that I thought was delicious! My kids were 12 and 14 and originally grumbled about a 4-5 hour tour but the time passed by so quickly that they didn't even realize that much time passed when the tour was over. I was nervous that my mom (almost 70) would be scared being on the back of a motorbike, but her driver was so good that she made it through the tour with ease. (On the flip side, my husband's driver seemed new so there was a lot of jerking involved so my husband didn't have as good of an experience riding around.) I only wished we had more time in Saigon so we could experience their other tours. (They did give us great recommendations in Danang, which was our next stop, and was spot on.) 100% would recommend this tour company - it's worth the cost for the unique experience!

Our family enjoyed Happy and all of the tour guides with Saigon Happy Tours. We had a blast riding on the scooters thru Saigon and enjoying delicious Vietnamese food. We also did a cooking class with Happy and his mom and his home. They welcomed us into their own kitchen and taught us so much about cooking the Vietnamese way. Lastly we enjoyed exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels with Happy as our guide. He is an expert in the war and gave us a lot to think about. I highly recommend using Happy’s company to explore Saigon.

I had a great experience on the tour with Vic! This was a great way to see more of the city and try some new places/foods. Vic did a great job as a guide taking me to different sights and districts to try different drinks and food.

This tour is definitely the highlight of our Saigon trip! I was a bit nervous when I heard that we would be touring the sights in motorbikes. While I had my eyes closed/half closed during most of the ride, I still enjoyed the novel experience. The places we visited are definitely off the beaten path. My family can’t decide which places we visited were our favorite because they’re all great! I have to say though that the broken rice is a must-try for anyone visiting Saigon. I highly recommend this tour with Saigon Happy Tour. Kudos to our guides - Star, Tee and Jenny!

We took 3 tours with Saigon Happy Tours. We did the food tour with Snow, Victor and Drink, the city tour with Victor, James and Fifi and Cu Chi Tunnels tour with Kyle. All of them were very safe and professional on the motor bikes, fun and very knowledgeable. Kyle who gave us the tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and knows a lot about the American War. I am very glad we chose Saigon Happy Tours.

We did the Zero Tourist Food Tour and the Cu Chi Tunnel tour. Both were fantastic. The food tour on the motorbike was amazing, with great food and stories, including dishes we had never tried before. The Cu Chi Tunnel tour was very informative and interesting, and the lunch was delicious too.

I did the Zero Tourist food tour and had the best time trying unique Saigon dishes and favorites. I learned so much and my belly was very pleased. The guides Star, Snow, and James were so kind and informative. We tried the best dishes and had a great time exploring all the different districts and we definitely went off to local spots where there were no other tourists. If you’re looking for a food tour in Saigon this is for you.

There aren’t enough stars to capture how great this experience was. We booked one night and ended up doing three food tours in two days with Happy Tours. We did both the Zero Tourist Tour and the half-day breakfast tour, both are highly recommended. If you’re able to do a second night, they run a completely different itinerary, which is well worth it if you’re lucky enough to have two nights to dedicate to street food. You see a huge part of the city, including spots most foreigners would never find, and every stop was worth it. Incredible food I never would have ordered on my own, and guides who were genuinely warm and excited to share their favorite stories about the food and the city. Highly recommend.
