Join us for an early morning start, beating the crowds to Bruny Island! We depart Hobart heading south, a scenic 30 minute drive takes us to Kettering and the Ferry terminal. Here you will have an opportunity to purchase any breakfast, snacks, or lunch supplies that you may need for the day ahead, then we board the ferry bound for Bruny Island.
Cape Queen Elizabeth
We begin our adventures on the island with a spectacular hike highlighting the amazing coastal scenery. We follow the Cape Queen Elizabeth trail. We don’t complete the full walk today, we walk to Mars Bluff, Miles Beach, the unique rock formations and then return. The first 30 - 40 minutes of the walk is an easy stroll along a wide, sandy track that takes you towards the beach through coastal heathland. We pass between Big Lagoon and Little Lagoon, home to a large number of water birds. A 10 minute uphill hike takes us over Mars Bluff, where the elevation provides a beautiful vantage of the surrounding coast. We walk down onto remote Miles Beach and explore the unique rock formations. We have plenty of time to take in this wonderful location, photograph the Arch before returning back to the start of the trail. The walk we complete is a total of around 6 kilometres, and is classified as easy to moderate, coastal walking.

This tour operator is very rude. They are not friendly at all. I won’t recommend this for anyone. They took money from me and left me without picking me on the tour day with rude behaviour. When requested for a refund, their response is not good at all. Talking in rude manner. I am not at all happy with Viator also in this case. How can you fool someone like this ? Not recommended at all.

Not enjoyable. Coaster bus uncomfortable. Walk to the Arch return time of around 3 hours (not as advertised). Two groups did not make it and returned to a locked bus. No safety checks e.g. guide had no idea about the condition of 50% of the group that turned around, no mobile contact list or monitoring, not suitable for runners (hiking boots only). 5 minute stop at Honey, Chocolate shops and drive through oyster shop. Lunch 30 minutes - rushed and general store for a sandwich was only realistic option.

Great mix of places to see on the island, with a lovely walk included. Walk was always surprising us just ahead with lots to learn about the area.

Clinton was a great guide, I’d probably skip raspberry farm and couple other food shops, and spend time visiting lighthouse or actual Penicott rock formations.. Overall, good way to see a bit of island without driving!

It was amazing. The walk, the views, which were stunning. Beautiful white sand beach. Our tour guide was lovely. Very knowledgeable. Didn't rush us. Also new experience for myself and my husband trying oysters!! Definitely worth going with a tour guide. Or we got lucky!! Great experience all round.

Bruny Island was amazing, the tour guide not so much. To premise this review, I am English with an Aussie partner. I am the only one of my family living in Australia so I am accustomed to the rivalries between our nations and usually enjoy the banter with my in-laws who can be brutal (whilst remaining funny) at times. The tour guide (Ben) was aware I was English. Unfortunately for much of this trip I felt uncomfortable with the tour guide due to his frequent negative comments about England. The comments were not about the rivalries between our nations and felt personal and sincere. The comments were inaccurate and at times offensive. Within an hour of the trip I had listened to a 10 minute rant about how sh*t my nation was - happy holidays! The comments continued throughout the tour. There was no negative comments made about any other nation or state, adding to the isolation I experienced on this tour. However, do not discredit Tours Tasmania. We had Peter for our Port Arthur trip earlier in the week who was one of the best guides we've had across multiple tours in various countries. Unfortunately a guide can really make or break the trip, and with this company we experienced both.

Great day out with an exciting Hike and great food. Bruny Island Beer was a highlight at lunch. Our guide was very informative and really structured so we saw everything.

Fresh air, we expected, sunshine we weren’t prepared for! It is Tasmania after all! Our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Luka met us at the meeting place to begin our Bruny Island Walking and Tasting Tour. Luca was knowledgeable along the track to explain the flora and fauna aspects which was great and the pace moved at a speed relevant to the group. The inclusions of the Natural Bridge, Two Tree Point, Coal Mining in Adventure Bay were well balanced with a visit to Bruny Island honey, Get Shucked Oysters and the Bruny Island Beer and Cheese Factory, oh and of course Bruny Island Chocolates to stack up on freckles for the grandkids, made for a well balanced tour. There were good choices for lunch options! As it’s one of the busier times of year Get Shucked and the Bruny Island Beer and Cheese Factory couldn’t tantalise our taste buds as it was too busy for the time allocation but it didn’t detract from the experience as there was plenty to see at both venues to get a feel for what processes on there. We highly recommend this tour to others. Thank you for a great day Luca.
