It was raining and everyone got wet as we went around corners..bus had a top but open windows on the 2nd level..the bus attendants were as helpful as they could be in the circumstances Picture taking was limited due to the rain. If they had closed buses available for rainy days it would have been a more pleasant experience

Disorganized. Boarding was a mess, with ticket sales being done at the front of the bus, resulting in a huge delay. Of course this was in rain but that was no excuse. Ticket sales should be done while people are queuing so when a bus arrived it did not take over 20 minutes to board. On a very positive note the young lady on the upper deck who was mopping dry seats went way beyond what was expected.

Our group of 17 really enjoyed the trip. Great insight into Hobart and the commentary was informative and interesting…whilst also hilarious! Great way to see many local sights. Despite Hobart putting on a cold and rainy day, Red Decker were amazing and sent extra busses with enclosed tops so we could stay as dry and warm as possible. Highly recommend

We had to stand in the pouring rain for over an hour just to get a bus. People kept pushing in the line and we were soaked through by the time a bus came that we could get on even though I paid in advance online. We are in our late 70's so the experience was not good.

Rain and three cruise ships in port overwhelmed the system! Rain precluded sitting upstairs on unenclosed double-decker busses. When there were finally seats available on the 4th bus that stopped at the Travel Center, the 1st pick-up point, we boarded - deliriously happy to get out of the rain after standing in the queue for at least 75 minutes! Even though I had an international calling plan, Hobart was the first (and only!) port in 25 days with NO wifi once I was in port. Bus brochure states wifi on-board, so I managed my frustration of no wifi while in queue. So, imagine my delight when I asked why I couldn't get a signal on the bus and was told, "Oh, this is a vintage bus, built in the 1970s. There is no wifi." We learned later it was built in the early 1980s - but still no wifi. (HUGE groan!) Travelers who had anticipated listening to the commentary in a language other than English must have been disappointed. A US citizen, I understood only about 70% of the Australian English, especially since the rain obscured the ability to see what the driver was referencing. My pictures are rain-spattered. Hop-on/hop-off is misleading as the bus schedule stops are once an hour. If you hop-off, you can't catch the next bus at that stop for an hour. My intent was to ride the entire route once and then hop-off the 2nd time around at places of interest. The once-per-hour schedule nixed any idea of hopping off. It was irrelevant anyway because the driver announced at the next-to-last stop that he had been called in just to drive the route once, so everyone had to get off at the last stop. He encouraged us to use the bus like a taxi. Who stands in the rain an hour for a taxi by choice??? On a sunny day, I'm sure Hobart is a lovely little quaint city to visit. In the rain? Not so much if your modes of travel are walking and the Hop-on/Hop-off bus!

Great driver very helpful. The 1 thing we all didn't like 1 hour between each bus 1 driver 1 bus full bus all the time should have more buses on with all the people on it a bit wrong. It's not like they don't have the business 🙄

The top deck was very pleasant in the sunshine. These are never made for people with long legs though. Hearing the history in an overview as e pass sights odd always a quick way to learn about the city and decide where to go.
