Your tour starts in Auckland - New Zealand’s largest city. As we drive out of the city, your guide will not only set the scene for your adventure but also point out some of the city’s top highlights.
Waikato Region
Exiting Auckland we travel south through the stunning Waikato countryside, the most extensive farming area in the world, encountering beautiful scenery, mighty rivers, great photo opportunities, impressive mountains and several farm animals along the way.

5.00Jeoff was a fantastic tour guide—super nice guy and clearly loves what he does! He shared great insights about life in New Zealand and its history during the drives to Hobbiton and the caves. Hobbiton itself was wonderful, and the tour guides there were incredible! 10/10 experience and would definitely do it again. Thank you so much!

5.00A lot of hiking up and down the hill, but at a nice pace. Our guide gave us plenty of time to catch up, take pictures, and plenty of time to rest and talk about The Lord of the Rings. It was better than I had expected. Our driver (Matt) was very informative as well and talked about the region on our way to Hobbiton; we even got to stop for some ice cream on the way back to Auckland.
