The Hobbiton Movie Set is beginning The Shire’s Maintenance and Restoration project. The first stage of work is set to get underway from 01 June to September 2025 and will see major maintenance undertaken on one of the Hobbit Holes, not directly visited on the Hobbiton Movie Set Tour route as well as on the Party Field. During this period, construction and maintenance equipment and noise will be present. Tours will continue as normal but will take an alternate route around the construction zone, while being able to get a glimpse of the work that goes into keeping Hobbiton Movie Set as magical as it looked in the films.

45mins buffet lunch is too short!

4.00Good experience to see the place, walking is required but not recommended if you want to bring little children. The buffet was pretty decent spread but 45mins for the buffet is just too short. My bff and myself were gobbling down all the food. I suggest a full one hour time for the lunch. 15mins extra wouldn’t kill isn’t it?

5.00This tour is very worthwhile: really good bus driver/tour guide, very enthusiastic tour guide at the movie set, beautiful and interesting tour, and great lunch. Interesting even for non Lord of the Rings fans. Very organized and enjoyable tour.
