• Hobbiton and Wai-O-Tapu

  This was a very comprehensive tour and the early start allowed us to get to Hobbiton for opening. Hobbiton was a real highlight! The tour hosted by the Hobbiton staff was fun and informative. We also had a drink included. Unfortunately Wai-O-Tapu was a let down. Our guide told us the route to take and told us it would take 65 minutes to do. We were given 70 minutes to walk the route and get lunch and told that passengers had been left behind in the past. When we got into Wai-O-Tapu, the signs said to do the full route was a 90 minute walk. We therefore had to rush around and unfortunately as there hadn't been rainfall for sometime, the pools were minimal (but obviously not the fault of the tour). The cafe was short staffed and lunch options very limited as a result (again not the fault of the tour). Our driver asked us if we wanted to skip stops on the drive back so that we could get back to Auckland faster. It didn't help that our pickup was late and we were on the verge of calling for more information. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the trip, but it felt very rushed.

  Dave was an amazing guide. The Hobbiton tour was every bit as exciting and enjoyable as we imagined. Loved being able to walk thru an actual hobbit hole. The hot mud pools and Champagne lake were beautiful. We would highly recommend this tour and be sure to ask for Dave.

  Honestly a once-in-a-lifetime, bucket list trip provided by an ace company. Our driver Cheeky Michael was brilliant - a friendly, fun and full of facts host, who kept everything running smoothly and broke the ice and brought the group together ensuring we all had a great day and made some good friends! Hobbiton was amazing, a perfect day whether you’ve read the books or seen the movies or not, and the thermal springs were amazing - albeit a bit smelly - but what else can you expect. All in all, a brilliant day, with a brilliant company, and something you should definitely book with your time in Auckland. A super great vibe all round. You won’t be disappointed!

  Very accommodating. Very considerate and convenient. Cheeky Michael was very helpful and informative. The Hobbiton Movie Set was awesome. What a visionary to the book. Great Day!!

• A must see tour provided by a really good company

  Cheeky Mike was our host for the day and was excellent, he kept us amused with anecdotes during the day while also providing lots of information of the destinations and of NZ in general. The tour was very relaxed but really slick and everything was perfectly on time. Hobbiton is a must see and is so well organised while Rotarua was the complete opposite, an ecological wonderland. The trip was made better by sharing the coach with a really terrific group of people that truly enhanced the day
