  • Highlands, Harry, and Hamish goodness

It was lovely and out guide, Laurie, was lovely. It wasn't an "all Potter all the time" tour, but definitely hit the fun and nostalgic notes we were looking for. It would have been almost as enjoyable for a non-Potter fan who just wanted to see the beautiful highland scenery. There was a lot of it and it was all gorgeous. We even managed to get to see a beautifully happy highland coo (Hamish) and some adorable wee lambs. Honestly, the only negative thing I have to say is that I'd suggest packing snacks if you book this on a weekend/holiday date since many things weren't open yet and those that were had longer lines. These made it tough to get back to the bus on time. Which was key in ensuring we made our train. Not a huge issue for us nor something in the tour company's control, but something to keep in mind.

The overall experience was great! Tom was our tour guide and he understood the assignment! He was funny, gave us interesting local historical facts and stories that helped passed the time, was personal, so kind, and very responsible. We even got stuck in a wreck for 1 hour and he still got us to the train on time making the best decisions for us and keeping us informed the whole time. 😅 It makes for a LONG day so be prepared. Bring snacks and drinks. But we definitely feel like we got our moneys worth.
