What To Expect
A fun and interesting way to experience the rural life in Hoi An and Vietnamese cuisine. What You will do You will be picked up by local tour guides at the hotel or our meeting point Bebe tailor . And take you to the Hoian colorful market.They will help you to comunicate with the local traders in the market and show you how to select and buy the good quaility food for the cooking class after that. The tour continue from the market directly on to the bamboo basket boat on the canals of the Nipa forest.You will be immersed in the natural beauty of the Nipa palm coconut forest and enjoy crab fishing.This is so cool! You have a chance to contemplate the river beauty in the countryside of Vietnam,the traditional way of catching fish as well as the lives of the hospitable fishermen here.This special moment will afford you the opportunity to take unforgettable pictures Vietnam rural scenes and people. After such eco-tour activities, you will be welcomed in the restaurant and participate in cooking around 2 hours with our chef.cooking recipe is ready for you after cooking class,you can recreate its at home.

5.00Absolutely loved this! Great value for money I really loved going through the market to shop for our ingredients. The cooking class was very knowledgeable and the whole team are super friendly and pleasant. The food we cooked was Michelin worthy. Will do again!!

5.00Very authentic experience that got us outside the touristy parts of Hoi An. We had a wonderful time a well worth the 4 hour investment. We enjoyed visiting my the beautiful markets, meeting all involved, experiencing the basket boats and time in the village and cooking in Tam’s gorgeous open air kitchen. We all got involved and prepared an incredible feast that we thoroughly enjoyed. Make sure to put this experience on your list!

5.00Highly recommend! The market tour and basket boat rides were really fun, and once we got to the cooking, Chef Tam is a legend. We did this as a family with a 6yo and a 12yo, and had so much fun as well as learning some great techniques and eating delicious food!

5.00It was an experience. The market, the ingredients, the boat ride and ofcourse the highlight, the cooking. The dishes were easy, such that one could replicate them in their settings. Ingredient replacements were also shared. Tiam is a gentle, cheerful and fun chef!

5.00Tahm is an amazing tour guide and chef!! We had a wonderful time. Started with a tour of the local market and buying ingredients for the cooking class/lunch. Afterwards we went on the bamboo boats. The locals were friendly and singing while we row down the river, and we also tried catching some crabs. We then took a short ride on the motorbikes to the cooking class. The class was interactive and fun! The food was delectable!!

5.00We had a really enjoyable time as a family. Firstly we did the banana boats with extremely friendly guides who also demonstrated how the locals caught crabs. After we headed to the cooking class where we prepared and cooked 3 delicious meals. For the price especially we were very happy and would recommend to anyone looking to indulge themselves in local cuisine in a lovely village.

5.00Incredible time for our family of 10 (Ten Pham!). Adults and kids enjoyed the market, LOVED the basketboat and crabfishing (very smiley/friendly and full of fun songs), and Tom our chef was right on top of guiding our 10 Pham and two Italian girls through a cooking experience we’ll never forget! Highly, highly recommend An (Michael) who guided us through the whole day…very friendly, explained everything…even found a toilet in the middle of rural Hoi An for one of our party who was having digestive issues! Can’t say enough good things!

5.00Fantastic half day experience in Hoi An! An interesting and vibrant market tour, a coconut boat trip to fish for crabs with a zany, singing, smiley lady on the oar, a short motorbike ride, and a super hands-on Vietnamese cooking class with Chef Tam. Smiles all around, easy logistics, and awesome value. Highly recommended to get out of the beautiful but hawker intensive Hoi An old town.
