Step aboard Dukling, a truly unique experience unlike any other Hong Kong harbour tour. As the city’s oldest and only original Chinese junk boat, Dukling stands apart from modern replicas—authentically built in 1955 as a fishing vessel and lovingly restored to preserve her legacy after sinking in 2014.
Dukling offers the rare chance to sail on a living piece of history that has witnessed Hong Kong’s dramatic transformation over 70 years. On this small humble boat, guests can enjoy Hong Kong’s world-famous night scenery as the city lights sparkle across the skyline, all in a calm, intimate setting, unlike big, crowded cruises.
More than just a sightseeing trip, Dukling is also a floating museum. Discover original artefacts, historic photos, and fishermen’s tools, and delve into stories and culture through insightful commentary. Whether you crave authentic heritage, relaxation, or breathtaking views, Dukling promises an unforgettable journey through Hong Kong’s past and present.

A lovely 70-year-old antique boat! It’s a unique experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. Be careful not to confuse it with other red-sailed boats; this is the one and only authentic junk boat steeped in history. You might spot replicas in the harbor, but nothing compares to this genuine treasure. It is like a sea museum with historical information of the boat.

Unforgettable trip. Welcoming crew. And on the pier, duckling agent doing the best in order we could go on board. And a lot of boats returning to the arrival pier, but the Duckling managed to be there without any problem in spite of the competition. Bravo for the captain! We appreciate they don't take too many people in order the visit is more peaceful. Next trip to Hong Kong, we will go again onboard of the Dukling in order to check the full documentation they have on board and

A very chaotic start. Difficult to find the meeting point due to crowds in the quayside. We waited 30 minutes to board. That done the trip was great. The light show was very good, pretty spectacular.

Great short tour of the water way, showing off the island and main land. The amount of high rise buildings surrounding the entire area is indescribable.

The harbour was super busy with multiple boats having the same boarding point which we didn't realise. We waited in line at the appointed time and missed the boat because the line was for another boat boarding at a similar time. There was no other line, signage or announcements to make us think otherwise. A guide said we could take the later boat, however that didn't fit our schedule. When we asked for a refund, it was provided. We were sad to miss the boat however happy with the customer service.

Sadly this was not a great 45 minutes of my time in Hong Kong. We would have rather watched it from shore. The boat is covered in touristic decorations and there is little place to actually see the show. There was no human interaction other than being given a drink. We didn’t know where to look for the light show and as soon as it started, we turned around and headed back. So we missed the whole light show. Other boats, like Aqua Luna, stayed the whole time. Go with them and save your money/time!

Overall a very good harbour tour, the lights are fabulous. The boarding and disembarking area is very crowded with other boats trying to use the one stairway, which led to delays in getting on and off. I had presumed that the boat would have red sails, but is has blue ones. This wasn’t clear from the advert. However, the red boats passed us several times so I got plenty of photos. Would recommend the sunset tour, best time to see the harbour lights coming on.
