Step aboard Dukling, a truly unique experience unlike any other Hong Kong harbour tour. As the city’s oldest and only original Chinese junk boat, Dukling stands apart from modern replicas—authentically built in 1955 as a fishing vessel and lovingly restored to preserve her legacy after sinking in 2014.
Dukling offers the rare chance to sail on a living piece of history that has witnessed Hong Kong’s dramatic transformation over 70 years. On this small humble boat, guests can enjoy Hong Kong’s world-famous night scenery as the city lights sparkle across the skyline, all in a calm, intimate setting, unlike big, crowded cruises.
More than just a sightseeing trip, Dukling is also a floating museum. Discover original artefacts, historic photos, and fishermen’s tools, and delve into stories and culture through insightful commentary. Whether you crave authentic heritage, relaxation, or breathtaking views, Dukling promises an unforgettable journey through Hong Kong’s past and present.

***Preserving this historic, 70-year-old Chinese junk requires significant resources. From 22–24 May and 2–15 June, commercial promotions will be displayed on the sails. Please note that this may alter the color and appearance of the iconic red sails during this period. Rest assured, there will be no changes to the interior of the Dukling or the sailing route. Thank you for your understanding.***

Easy to find. Traditional old fishing boat with photos of its restoration. Friendly crew. Guided for part of the time. Sitting out on deck. Only about 10 visitors on deck. Ice cold drinks provided. Just the right amount of time to view the skyline , waterside and reasise the busyness of the harbour.

Great experience, the boat crew were great and helped everyone get a great view. Unfortunately the weather was hazy so the light show wasn’t as bright as it would normally be.

The tour started off friendly, with the staff welcoming us aboard the charming old wooden junk boat. At the beginning, everything went well as we sailed through Victoria Harbour enjoying the views. However, halfway through the Symphony of Lights, the boat suddenly started racing back to the port at full speed. We suspected it was simply to beat the other modern ships back to the dock so they could close early for the night. For me, the whole journey felt lacklustre and rushed. It came across more like a routine chore to finish quickly so the crew could go home, rather than genuine tourist hospitality. Quite underwhelming for the price and the heritage boat experience.

Great old ship, great views but the detail provided by the team running it is a little vague and more around local food and drink and not what we were seeing

I've been lucky enough to travel a lot in my life but I can honestly say the experience of sailing on an antique shop on Hong Kong harbour is right at the top of my most cherished moments. The ambiance was spot on and the crew seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Would recommend it to anyone.

The boat is neat, but not all sails are up and looks a little lackluster. Also the trip is literally a small circle around the harbor that doesn’t go anywhere. You literally float around for an hour and head back to the dock.

Hong kong harbour junk. Historical, original junk. 6.30pm at sunset so we saw all the lights come on.
