Step aboard Dukling, a truly unique experience unlike any other Hong Kong harbour tour. As the city’s oldest and only original Chinese junk boat, Dukling stands apart from modern replicas—authentically built in 1955 as a fishing vessel and lovingly restored to preserve her legacy after sinking in 2014.
Dukling offers the rare chance to sail on a living piece of history that has witnessed Hong Kong’s dramatic transformation over 70 years. On this small humble boat, guests can enjoy Hong Kong’s world-famous night scenery as the city lights sparkle across the skyline, all in a calm, intimate setting, unlike big, crowded cruises.
More than just a sightseeing trip, Dukling is also a floating museum. Discover original artefacts, historic photos, and fishermen’s tools, and delve into stories and culture through insightful commentary. Whether you crave authentic heritage, relaxation, or breathtaking views, Dukling promises an unforgettable journey through Hong Kong’s past and present.

Best way to see the light show is on the water, and this was a great option. Do not expect to sail, but to motor, but you will still get a little feel for the "aniqueness" of the boat.

Great boat trip and enjoyed the commentary. Staff were friendly and managed to see light show whilst onboard. Loved the junk boat with its pieces of memorabilia located around the boat. There needs to be better signage for the trip, as a tourist it was packed, few people spoke English and most had never heard of Dukling Tours. Organisers were very generous and offered an alternative trip as we Missed the firsts one due to be unable to locate pier. The representative does not stand out with a small A4 board in a mass of people, they would benefit from wearing a sweater or T-shirt with tour logo and being present 20 minutes before boat is due to sail.

The tour itself was great, staff knowledgeable & the actual boat beautiful. However it had really ugly fully illuminated blue sails advertising upcoming events, not like what was shown on their advertising photo. It didn't make for nice photos and to be honest did change the feel and experience. We passed the authentic boat on the water, it looked much nicer. So, because of this disappointed. Also allow a bit of extra time as there was a line up at the jetty so we were delayed docking by about 20 mins

Very nice trip around the Victoria harbor. We went at night and the Hong Kong skyline was very nice. Workers very helpful and informative. Wish it was a little longer trip. Very nice trip.

I was a little worried about what the stability of this old ship would be like but I needn’t have worried as it was fine, the pre trip communications and meeting instructions were all good.

The boat is so small and also the sail design was not in the picture. They removed the authenticity and cover it with sports design.

They commercialize their sails so not a red sail like in the photo. In this case it was for a good cause but not the boat you are expecting when it pulls up. They did not make an annoucement saying they were Duckling so did not know to get in line especially since another antique boat looking like the Viator photo was lining up. Had not one of our group seen the name below the break wall on the boat itself {nothing on the sails} we would not have even gotten on the boat. They need to make loud annoucement

Went on the 7:30pm tour to catch the 8:00 symphony of light laser show. Instructions to find the docking location was clear but it is a very congested area with many other tours sharing the same dock. You have to look for the person holding a clipboard with Dukling in order to check-in Crew was helpful and was punctual in timing. Music was broadcasted from the speakers on the boat so that was a nice touch. Also, great learn about the history of the Dukling. It was a little disappointing that all the masts were changed to a blue color for advertisement. Would have been better to have the red masts for the full junk boat experience since it is the original Dukling.
