Step aboard Dukling, the only authentic Chinese junk boat still regularly operating in Hong Kong. Built in 1955, Dukling was a fishing boat, home to hardworking fishermen. In the 80s, it was transformed into a sightseeing cruise. Its original form is preserved despite once having sunk in 2014.
Sailing through changing tides, Dukling has witnessed Hong Kong’s transformation from a fishing harbor to a modern metropolis. Representing the stories of hardworking fishermen, Dukling is an important symbol of Hong Kong's cultural legacy.
Today, Dukling offers unique boat tours in the Victoria Harbour. Embark on a voyage through time on board by learning about the history of Dukling, the fishermen culture and the history of Hong Kong from the commentatory. Feel the breeze and enjoy the stunning views as the oldest Chinese junk cruises along both sides of the modern harbour.
If you are looking for something more than just sightseeing, this is the right boat tour for you.

Memorable experience riding a unique vessel. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Hong Kong. Staff was very friendly and sailing was smooth. Great way to see the light show.

The beautiful sails were completely covered with a white advertisement for our cruise, and we were not informed of this until after we had purchased the tickets. This was rather disappointing. The boat ride itself was nice and refreshing. The crew was also very friendly. However, the “symphony of lights” was another disappointment, as the buildings barely did anything different than they’re normally doing all night.

This was a highlight of our trip to Hong Kong and we enjoyed the experience. The boat arrived late due to other boats loading and unloading passengers. Our trip only lasted 35 minutes, which was disappointing. We wanted to purchase some of their luggage tags but we were just brushed off the boat as they were in a hurry to be done for the night.

It’s a short but very pleasant journey around Victoria Harbor. The guide gives an interesting historical and informative explanation of the area and the boat The Dunkling. It’s my second time doing this sunset tour and I’ll likely do it again. It’s a very relaxing no rush way to watch the sunset from a unique vantage about the beautiful, historical craft. Bonus points since it was the 70th anniversary of the boat. And since I was a repeat visitor, the crew gave me a nice thoughtful gift and a card for coming back. It was a thoughtful and very nice touch to the experience. Thank you Team Dunkling! I’m definitely a fan!
