The breathtaking view wherever you look. Standing on the farm looking at the ocean, mountains and the whole fjord. You like animals and love horses, than this is a must. We have horses fitting for children and adults, first time riders and experienced riders. This is for everyone who are fit to mount a horse. Families, friends, couples or adventurers.
Gásir or Gásakaupstaður was a trading post on Gáseyri by the Hörgár River in Eyjafjörður. Gásir was the main trading post in North Iceland in the Middle Ages.
The incredible Icelandic horse is well noticed not only because of his many different colours but manly because of his gentle and friendly mind. This is a family run horse rental in a farm with lots of animal, like sheep’s, cats and dogs for example.

What To Expect
We will mount the horses and than ride either to black beach or take the road to forest. We have Mountain View and ocean view. At the half way we stop and take pictures of each rider.

5.00What a great experience riding the Icelandic horses at Ak Hestaferdir Ehf in Gasir. The owners were so nice and provided great instruction prior to the start of the ride. The ride was a peaceful and scenic path through their farm where we could see the water and the mountains. The entire area is absolutely majestic. They took their time with each guest ensuring safety first. This was on my dad's bucket list and so glad we got to make this happen. Highly recommend!!

5.00An absolute highlight of our Iceland trip! This was the final stop on our cruise, and we decided to just wing it to see where the day would take us. We’re so grateful it led us here. As beginner riders, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience—the one-hour ride was the perfect length, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

5.00My daughters really enjoyed the trip. The two young ladies who took care of the horses and my daughters spoke German. They came from Hanover. All in all a wonderful afternoon!
